What a useless tool, doesn't work on any of the latest Nvidia drivers. I hoped for better in ATi Tools

    Good --> Works on Vista64

Bad --> No 3870 voltage control, no OC over 837Mhz so far. No temp sensor, when you try to activate it, the program crashes.

All I can say is: useless. Al the things this version can do, other programs can do them better, CCC included.

W1zzard puts alot of effort into this and gives it away free. he states right in the info that non wqhl drivers are not supported. if you don't like it, use rivatuner or one of the others , but don't bash the man after all his hard work and dedication to the overclocking community.

In case you didn't notice it is ati tool , not nvidia tool.

I can't believe people are slamming on ATiTools. I can understand if it cost money, but the guy is developing this program at his own expense and time.

This is a perfect example of why so many useful utilities are kept private. W1zzard released this as a beta version. The whole purpose of the release is to report back with issues so they can be fixed. I've burnt out video cards and monitors testing alpha versions of this type of software so you guys can do what you do best. Point and click with no knowledge of what is actually being done. If these types of issues are so upsetting, it may be a good idea to stick to retail products that you have a right to expect to work flawlessly instead of bashing someone who unselfishly spends their time trying to help the overclocking community.

First off, For anyone that thinks I'm bashing ATi Tool and W1zzard are crazy. I meant useless as in "Useless Release" because if it supports None of the current releases from Nvidia. Then why release it. Even the WQHL 169.02 do not work for overclocking, so its not just non-WQHL drivers.

Second off, Nice flaming baiting. Because I really like ATi Tool because of the stability tester in it. And its made for both ATi and Nvidia cards. So next time, Think before claiming I'm "bashing" something or someone. When I say something there is 100% reason behind it.

there should be nothing more than constructive posts showing your problems. Maybe then wizz can fix them since he will know what to fix instead of all the kiddies complaining and wining about something one guy does to try to make sure enthusiasts get the most out of their hardware.

why dont we start doing thigs like:

    Card:
    Temp Sensor:
    Voltage Control:
    When crash:

lets help the man and not complain.

To those complaining it doesn't support all the latest nvidia drivers....

it is ATItool, not nvidia tool

Just be happy it supports any nvidia cards
yeah I know he added nvidia support later but just gotta remind you of what it was originally designed for, what the original focus was

I'll have to download this and see if it allows voltage adjustment on my X1950XT. ATItool 0.26 didn't let me

This thread Wouldn't help, Its easier to go over to the Guru3D forums which I'm also a member of and Post a Bug Report, Doing it in these thread is just making un-needed posts. So to put it simply these thing you call "constructive" post is unless in these thread. and It would be paid more attention to over at Guru3D.

You are funny too. Are you guys reading what I posted? Twice?

For 3870, this version is u-se-less. I really like ATITool and appreciate W1zzard work (have been using it since almost the first version), but for the new ATIs, again, is u-se-less. You don´t like facts? Well, is your problem. As I said, Vista64 signed driver is great, and that is the only thing good for us 3870 owners. For the others, I don´t know. So stop the flame now and think two times before you post like that. Nobody is attacking W1zzard or his great work.

If you can find ANY program that allows voltage control for 3870s, tell me. And read above too.

I dunno, the .26 version seems to be working fine with the 169.09's...Thanks Wiz
Although if the logfile bug and the low perf 3D setting can be fixed in a later release that would be quite awesome.

I am actually happy with this release. I couldn't care less about overclocking as I do all that via rivatuner than flash the new stable clocks to the bios of the card itself. What I do use this program for is its built in artifact tester which works just fine. The previous 0.27b2 used to always crash when loaded with the newer Nvidia drivers for my 8800 causing a send/no send error report to be presented when opened. It would also show the current clocks as a huge string of messed up numbers and characters. With this new release proper clocks are displayed and the app no longer hangs with the error message when used. I say kudos to W1zzard for a fine release and to keep up the great work.
