Yep......I just got a birthday present yesterday.... Thanks....

Once again I was lucky.....








Heatsink is huge and very light...

....and here are some fast tests on the ASUS P5E64 WS Pro which is just came too....

Motherboard is DEFAULT....MAX cpu-z on air is ~4930MHz....
This CPU likes high VCore and can handle it....

VGA used an NVIDIA 8800GTS ~ 650/950 if I remember well....








3DMark2006 on AIR does ~4700MHz.....

Heatsink used an Tuniq Tower plus a DELTA 12 x 12cm fan pushing..

That's for now....I hope it does well under LN2....
ON AIR it's about 100MHz more than the ES I have tested....

Not with Hipro, he doesn't do "normal" things

Propably will be good for about 4500MHz on air in a case for 24/7 and lower VCore....

Don't worry mrlobber, I can bench the ES at 5870MHz for Super-Pi 1M....
ALSO LN2 for this one I will test tomorrow (and I hope it does well)...

What is special about that wafer number Hipro?

This number on the PCB of the CPU is indicating (from my obsevations all these years that I'm "focusing" on it) the "place of the wafer" it was cuted....Propably the LOWEST (closed to 00) the TWO LAST numbers are, the "centered of the wafer" it was cuted...
For example: LAST TWO numbers.....000, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and so on....
FIRST 15 numbers are the best....for example2: 012, 005, 009, 104, 113, 202, 215, 205, 314, 304, 406, 412, 601, 609, 712, 703, etc....
These 2 LAST numbers should be closest to "00" LIKE: 001, 713, 404, NOT 478, 656 and so on....

At least that's what I have observed by searching all these years....

TWO IDENTICALS X6800s, one did 5420MHz 3D and the other did 5050MHz 3D...IDENTICALS EXCEPT those "secret" numbers on their PCB's which people NEVER look on.....THIS is the "secret" of finding the "good" CPU.....at least as I have observed for many years since now

The PCB nujmber is not always a good indication though. I just got two reatil chips, same week and batch as yours, with considerable lower PCB number. One was 0036, and the other one was 0361. The O361 was actually a lot better on LN2, while the 0036 was way better on air.. I can do SP 1M at approx 5,8GHz on "only" 1,9 V. So it will be exciting to see what it will do on 2V+... gotta stay in style.....event though my last ES got pretty toasted at 2,175V...

Hope it work's out good for you george , last one's i've tested did 4800 air but had coldboot at -30 and coldbug at -100 ......

The one that did 4400 air could boot at -89 and coldbug at -140.....
hope its not related to that....good air chip = bad cold chip ....

Yorkfield seems to go higher clocks on a ddr3 board, maybe because of the loose timings, did you test it on ddr2 board too?
