    Nuff Said

Amazing work as always mate, oh and got to hate when you shoot some pictures only to find out you didn't... happened to me on a trip to Egypt, still with film and not digital camera.... Someone opened the lid on the camera as the film supposedly was already inside the cartridge... only it wasn't.

Keep up the excellent work mate.

    Behave!

I may have missed this somewhere in this thread, but do you do airbrushing for a living or this this purely a hobby for you? Either way, you are very talented.

Your patience and your determination to see such a labour-intensive project through to the end are commendable! I think just about everyone here would have no hope of ever modding a case like this to same high standard that you achieve with your airbrushed mods.

    Again, well done.

    Hi,
I don't do it for a living (yet) as i have a full time day job... Now the problem is - i have a pretty unique day job, It's almost as unique as being an airbrush artist for a living so i cant simply quit my day job to do this. I cant really go into much detail about my day job but its great

So for now I just do the painting in my spare time - of which i have very little! ( which is why this is taking so long ) This means i paint in the hours around 7pm-11pm every night I can... but most nights are already taken - family girlfriend, crysis heh heh.

I suppose one day I will try to make a living out of it. But for now I am just workign on pre-painted cases to sell. - no deadlines!

My money is that he either works for the government (CIA?), or he's a male prostitute...

Absolutely god-like work with that air brushing. It's simply stunning. Almost a shame that the inside work is going to be mostly covered by computer stuff.

By the way, how resistant is the paint (especially around where the mobo goes) to scratching and what-not?

    Eller

    To use my Chuck Norris Cliche . . . . .

When clearcoated with the 2 pack clear coat, its as hard as chuck norris :P

I't wont be IMPOSSIBE to scratch, just like a car, it will scratch if you give it enough force, but my plan to save the insides from damage, is to simply loosen the pannels when instaling the drives and it will be fine.

I will also drop a clear plastic washer onto every screw hole when the clear coat is done so it will rest ontop of the clear, kinda sink in a bit and protect the paint.

    of course

    update:
With the project drawing to an end, I decided to leave my mark so that who ever ends up owning this case can have a permanent reminder of how much fun I've had doing it. Its time to sign the insides.

I wanted something big, and bold that wouldn't be seen once the PC is built inside, so the mainbaord tray is where i chose.

This design was made in corel, by writing 'r b customs' with a marker the size of Gibraltar, then scanning it into corel and making the vectorised version of it.

I apply the mask tot he panel

paint it in very softly, as i want the colour to show through

    then de-mask

    Jobs a good 'n

As for the rest of the case thats pretty much done now too. The clear coat will really finish it off but heres the pics of the raw paint for your enjoyment
    Excuse the dressing table

    Adding more colour

    as is:

    Nearly done !

Did you like bust out of the womb and find the nearest art supplier or what?

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

I'm pretty sure this post alone will generate you a lifetime of business.

I love the logos, can't wait to see how clearcoat looks on this.

Easily the best case painting job I've ever seen.
