Fantastic, I'm gonna do some CPU tests when I mod my card to see if my E6600 holds me back at 1600x1200 later.

    Thanks for all the info.

could you confirm me that moving vgpu progressively from stock to 1.35V for example (for a 8800 GT), system running, is fully ok?
I assure you, it's perfectly safe to tune the VR (=voltage) when powered on. I've always done that and never have I busted anything because of vmods.
You were not supposed to see this.

I am going to wait until the reviews on the new G92 8800GTS comes out, and if it is that much stronger I will go that route.

If not, Voltmod here I come .

Did anyone get rid of the black screens by putting a heatsink on the #1 SPOT or any other way?

woa I didn't expected results to be so bad with 1280 full settings AA 4X it's horrible!! I thought it may be playable at 1280*960 full AA AF max settings, something like 20 fps I supposed. I just thought it was impossible for 1600*1200 and above but not for 1280, indeed it's merely unplayable way before putting everything to the max

merci pour les résultats. est ce que c'est fluide à 15-20 fps ou ça rame à mort? l'impression dépend des jeux et j'ai pas encore testé la démo ni le jeu final.

    @ Pacha
Between 15 and 20 fps, in my opinion the game is lagging.
between 25 and 30 Fps, it's much better, you can begin to enjoy the game

    hmmm

Digikey is the best place to get these parts. Radioshacks selection is limited.

Also, never use anything but 30ga Kynar rework wire for mods like this. Anything else will be too large and difficult to do a quality job with.

Best soldering iron is a weller EC3001, with 30ga or 34ga solder.

    Damn too much
I'm looking for something sub 40
I have used the cheapo orange ones before for motherboard mods, but I guess I do need a better one for small work

Anyone got an extra lying around? Paypal?

Did you make a soft voltmode for GPU by Nibitor or it`s with hard volt mode?
I`m wondering because I havent got any higher vCore than 1.15 using Nibitor 3.5b. I could flash bioss with for example 1.3v but real V were just 1.15!
