I don't really see how the temp problem is really an issue. We all know that the temps it reads are bogus, only the Core temps themselves are to be beleived!

And as it turns out, this time around I seem to be getting the problem. All I've changed is that I rebooted...? Seems like a dodgy reading to me...

    Hi,

does anyone know, how i can check the regular vDIMM-voltage on the board?

I had reported about my problem to become 4x 1GB Corsair XMS26400C4 stable.

Now i have overvoltet the vDimm. I have set 2.120@BIOS -> PC Probe reports now 2.19V under load and 2.12V when idle. I will now check the regular Voltage an the Board, but i have no information where are Point of + and -.

    cya,
    Cb

    PS: @Moment i run Prime longest Time with 850 MHz @ 4x1GB :-)

Tons of people have mentioned it already including on the ASUS forum. The bug adds an extra 20 celcius on average to the overall CPU temperature.

What's the deal with those adapters that fit on the barbs of the NB waterblock? There is no threads and no clamps...how the heck do you get those 3/4" and 1/2" adapters on and keep a tight seal which prevents water from leaking?

I am not sure I understand, do those adapters go inside the barb that sits ontop of the NB waterblock? Or do I need to buy smaller tubing?

Can anyone provide pics on how this works?

    Higher FSB w/ E6850?

Depends on your strap/frequency (keep in AUTO for 1:1 ) settings as well as the RAM you have and it's timings, volts and sub features. For instance if it's good DDR2 w/ stock cl4, should be good to DDR1000 @ 500FSB (for the 1333 CPU's the Auto strap is fixing it to 333 cause of the devider you now get). Keep Ai Clock Twister to light or auto for testing, strong w/ Read Control nabled is stressfull memory. Mine just became unstable till I added more vdim or loosened timings. I ended up w/ Ai Twist to Moderate. Do try to use Static Read Contro (Enabled) as this will improve amooth strapping at higher FSB like 500.

For multi, stick to a 7x or 8x when getting closer to 500FSB till you get it where you like then fine tune. I found 500x8 was a butter zone for these E6750/E6850's in 1:1. Although I did get 5:6 for DDR1200 stable.

    Keep us posted!

So the general consensus is that 0802 is a good one, eh? I'll be flashing it tonight.....I haven't been too successful with my motherboard POSTing over 400 FSB..
I think it really depends on the type of OC you're going for and especiall the CPU, RAM and CPU:RAM ratios you want.

For the profile in my sig, 0401 to current showed no major difference. In fact, at that profile, I believe v0602 showed better ram scores in Everest. Although, I was on an older, but estabilashed up to date OS RAID from my P5K Deluxe.

As for the guys struggling for those out of sink CPU;RAM deviders and especially for quad CPU's , I guess the newer BIOS is addressing this. I do notice if I try some 3:4, 4:5, or 5:6 deviders at igher FSB, it seams to be more stable once it's up and running. But getting it dialed in at CMOS is much more buggy cause of the manual FSB strapping and RAM frequencies.

Those are my findings, let's see if we can confirm from Quad users at nominal FSB with deviders.

I am installing the Max SE with Vista 64 and 4 gb of ram. When I get to the point of loading the raid drivers (extracted driver from Asus CD to floppy) Vista cannot find them. I have tried 3 ribbon cables flipped the ends to make sure it is connected correct and no luck. What am I doig wrong and where can I get the latest Intel drivers for the ICH9R?

    its built for 3/8" tubing
but if your using 1/2" tubing
    then it would be

    block -> 3/8" tubing -> 3/8" to 1/2" converter
and they also include a small piece of 3/8" tubing for you
