Hey Martin, do you make custom barbs too? If you could make some custom copper barbs I bet those would look amazing... G1/4, preferably.

A wolf in wolves clothing.
What would you guys be willing to pay for these.
Is $9 each reasonable?
Before I go spending a bunch more time making less than minimum wage, I figured I better ask...
They really do take me about a half an hour a piece, and I'm not thinking I'll get a whole bunch faster...I guess I'm a details guy![]()
I wish I liked my day job better, I can make $40/hr on OT...![]()
hey martin, will you be willing to ship them oversea??![]()
as for the price, i think $9/ elbow is very reasonable.
Considering the effort put into making a single one of these, $9 is very reasonable sounding to me.
I'd definitely take two!

Martin, $9 sounds pretty good. Count me in for sure.![]()
For international shipping, you can use USPS's flat rate envelope which costs just $9 to Canada/Mexico and $11 to Rest of the World. (max. 4 pounds)

But yeah, copper would be neat, I don't think I've ever seen a copper barb before.![]()
If you want to make it faster, I suggest you build a custom lathe tool out of reinforced steel (or any material harder than copper) with tooths to do the channels in 1 pass.

Martinm210 I think $9 each is quite resonable considering similar products made of cheaper material and what they are priced at. I assume + shipping on orders (which of course would have TBD). I personally would take four. I'm waiting to finish my new build until the new Phenom's come out though, so I'm not stressing over how long it takes by any means.
Oh, and BTW know what you mean about never feeling that you are done with your build. I've been trying to build my system forever and I keep finding new accessories that I'm like "huh, that would look really nice in there"
Thanks guys,
I very much appreaciate all the posotive response. I really had no intention to sell them, but I like sharing photos of my little garage projects. It's a good excuse to use my garage toys and my camera toys, and if it also includes PC water cooling...I'm in!!
Initially, I came out of the garge all happy about my lathe working so well, but I just didn't get quite the same response from my wife when I was showing her my newly fabricated copper piece of goodness. So I came here and wow
, I'm not the only one that dreams of copper and water...

Anyhow, I probably shouldn't plug up the water cooling forum with this, and since there was support for making more, I've created an official FS thread in the FS forum.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=165493
I'll keep making them and I'm going down the list created here and by those that PM'd me in the order that responded with potential interest. I'll PM you individually as I get more made and you can let me know if you're still interested and how many you want, etc...
And yes I'm sticking to $9ea plus shipping. I believe USPS flat rate envelopes are $4.60 to the USA which should work with some good bubble wrapping.
I'm seeing visions of a new rotary table for my mill down the road
Back to work!![]()
