Anyone running 266/667 strap with 4GB of ram highly clocked successfully or is the 333/800 better recommended for that?

tried to push mine past 3.6, i went straight to 4ghz (8*500), it'll post but wont load windows, had volts upto 1.63. backed it off to 3.8 (9 multi) still no good, so i went to 8 multi and 475, booted windows, but no matter that glt's and volts i set just isnt stable, i might order a GO next week.

I'm also curious to hear input from other 4gb users. I'm using 2x2gb G.Skill 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V. I just got this board today and am working on the OC. Just curious to hear input from others as well.

That reminds me Thank you again for the chip Brother, you saved my sanity, I will never be without a back-up again.
Those that don't know last friday morning I was flashing to the new bios and a few seconds in it rebooted needless to say the bios was toast. with a three day weekend I had set aside for gaming I was upset. I pm'd Brother Esau and he said no problem. offered to get it out that day! so I asked if he could overnight it and he said no problem (my cost obviously). and boom saturday my new , tested, static bag protected bubble wrap encased chip arrived. plus I got a free sd card holder . no personal letter or pen like petra's but I was still thrilled. , day wasn't perfect as fed-ex was involved and you know how that goes. and my raid refused to be recognized but after a fresh install all is right with the world again.

Well my board is shipping right now and am seriously thinking about getting a BIOS chip from Esau PM BTW

But to get a cleared idea of how to reflash a bad BIOS chip, do you just do a hotswap/reprogram to retore it?

Anyway, I cannot wait to get back to some DFI OCing. I am actually quite excited!!

basically. read up on it first, get a dos boot disk etc. and realize you are doing something risky. not to difficult though.

First off you would need a secondary Bios chip the (Exact) same one as whats in you're Board and you also need the Board functioning that too is also a Must and you still run the risk of it gettiing ESD Damage and also dropping on the Board and frying something and you may damage both Bios chips and Motherboard in the process!

    Bios 2007/11/07

    Hi,

I´ve recognized that DFI provides the download of the official BIOS dated 2007/11/07.

    Download:
    http://eu.dfi.com.tw/Upload/BIOS/LP35DB07.zip

    Download DiamondFlash Image:
    http://eu.dfi.com.tw/Upload/BIOS/LP35DB07.exe

    Major Reasons of Change:
Update Micro code for Yorkfield and Wolfdale.
Did someone already flashed the new version? Are there any gains in performance/stability?

    Keen

11/7/07 Official is stable but so is 9/13/07 and only performance gain from 9/13/07 would be 10/05/07 Beta

With four 1gb crucial ballistix the highest clock I was able to get stable was 1112mhz 5-5-5-12 (these sticks do 1250 5-5-5-12 on warrantied voltages in 2 stick config). Seems this board only plays nice with 4x double sided modules if you do a lot of fine tuning.

But since you're using 2x2gb, that's totally different

There's a lot of talk about that Gskill kit you're using in the Xtreme Bandwidth part of the forums. Lots of people seem to be getting good result on low voltages. Great clocks for a non-Micron based kit
    Asus Maximus Extreme // Q6600 G0 @ 3807mhz 9x423 1.5v // Sapphire 4850 860/1025
