I built a rig for my dad he wanted quad core system in the summer and Q6600 was only reasonable priced one at the time but ive had issues with Mobo such a 680I chipsets.. not impressed with C2D!! performence is good though but i think Amd will come up trumps... currently Amd platforms are seen as much more reliable and stable! might not have best performence but what about if Amd then increases its performence with Quad chips... its now comming to light so Amd will have best of both worlds Stabilty with great performence... Intel might have lead in performence but stabilty well no comment
