a little bit like 20 on core, and 50MHz on shader, more or less . its the temp/noise made me changed it .... stock cooler was hot and loud ... i hate both of those ... try playing crysis demo... u will get higher temp than ATI tool .. at least for me it did.. with stock cooler i was getting 60C with fans @ like 70% ... it was loud @ 70% ....

imo its all about vGPU ... if ur manufactuerer decide to give u more vGPU , and bam u OC higher .... i water cooled my old GTS , and it didnt oc higher even though it was like 45C full load .... vs like 60C stock

which is why i think watercooling ur GFX cards seems pointless .... unless u ahve ATI cards, which u can increase vGPU via ATI tool... but even then ur overclocking wont go too far, maybe i dunno 50MHz/100MHz more than stock/no VGPU increase , i mean how many ppl run HD2900XT 900/2000 24/7 .... seems like stock cooler/stock everything can do 830/200 just fine .... how far did it oc with ati tool/watercooling??

so i went back to air cool ... sure water cooling is cool and quiet, but the tubes.. argh, and changing GPU can be quite a pain the arse

im opposite as i can have artifact free atitool and yet the occasional ingame glitch...eg.
720/1800/1950 in tf2..will play fine for say 15-30 minutes and then ill get a fatal glitch...

but maybe with your oc right on the edge of stable it's different.

does orthos stress gcards??

what other gcard specific test is there?

anyway if it's stable in the games you want to play who cares? the real stress test is the actual app...

yeah lol i ran ati tool @ 740/1890/2000 it gave me error in like 2 min, so i then tried crysis ... which didnt crash nor any artifact , and sandbox was ok,... all the games i played was ok ....

but the funny thing is that @ 757/1836/2000 it passed ATI tool for like 10min, then i played crysis and it crashed, liek hang in just 1min, entire screen had like lots green dots everywhere, and jsut hangs there ...so i decided to go with higher shader clock

seems to me that if u oc ur core too high it crashes, while mem/shaders gives u artifact?? dunno .. lol

I slapped a mcw50 waterblock on it.
I can bench at 700 core but games will lock up, hard with green stuff all over.
Stable gaming 670core.
Its not the temps, it is around 40 degree celsius, I havent tried rasing shaders yet though to see if they go a little higher.
Its a lot better than my old card (x1950xtx) and I am happy even if it does not clock that far.

Its silent, run games fine and cooling works well.
Price/performance is just exactly where I wanted a new card to be

Judging by your signature you don't seem to have a lot of luck with overclocking.

mm well i've settled on 1750 shader...im sure thats wot my main problem was.

i can clock core to 740 with ati tool...but 720 core seems safe for games.

i tried 1820 shader and no matter wot coreclock [1810 was ok in atitool but games ] it failed....& i got crashes at evry shaderclk i tried until...<1780.

i know my core is between 720-740..max
shaders 1750-1770ish.
big whoopee do anyway.

I got my mcw60 on but damn ramsinks keep falling off so I am running the ram and the vrm area naked. I put a 92mm fan under there. Ps mcw60 is the biggest POS ever! its biggest flaw
is that you can take it apart and its not sealed so it leaks water on your video card! lol

notice the vrm area. also see no sinks on ram

I think I will grab an Accelero S1 with 120mm Antec TriCool I have for it. How many extra RAMSinks are required?

Any of you guys try to voltmod bios on this card? Intresting if that would work. Coman someone download Nibitor and try. I did voltmod my bios on 7900 and was able to get 140 more on the core.

Using artic silver cleaner (2 part solution) really does help with ramsink IC adhesion problems. It's far better then using 90&#37; alcohol.

I put it in and I get no screen the Monitor light just blinks, XP loads normally but no screen

hey i just wanna note that i ordered the reference 600/1800 GT directly from evga, but the actual card seemed to be flashed with the superclocked bios as it was really running at 650/1900

Hey guys. I will prob get a GT (thou i'll still wait for Ati), it's one amazing card (esp at my native res). The only thing that concerns me is the cooler. Is it really that loud in games and can it be drowned out by the games' sound? Would love to know.

I found almost nothing concerning news cards to come with samsung 1.0ns chips except the zotac wc one, but having compared on my screen (have been reliable trying to guess the gap between two holes on reference pcb), I measured approximately 19.3/19.4 cm instead of 23 cm (reference) for the new giga GV-NX88T512HP card. pic

with new power supply design and smaller pcb it may be interesting. but I found no info about release date yet.
anyway, galaxy is releasing a new pcb design the 17th of this month so I guess the new giga card isn't going to reach the shops late.
