As an update:
In conclusion, this board needs a new BIOS version to work.

I think a better and cooler chipset would do... 680i isn't with quads what it should be

@Carter : Are you gonna cut the heatpipe ? Thermalright HRO9 (dunno which version exact fits nicely on the mobo, check their webbie ) for the PWM on the left of the CPU socket.. I would go for that so you don't need to cut the heatapipe and can put it back in case you want an RMA
