Sice it looks like the HR 03 will be a month at least.

What do you think (and has it been done??), using the Zalman VF 1000 cooler with the ZM RSH88 heatsink? It looks viable. It rates close to the HR 03 setup for cooling.

    Anyone try this yet?

So the HR 03 is best, thanks for the review, seen that one a while back, didn't think it was that much of a diff. But the HR03 Plus doesn't fit. I guess it's just the backplate that doesn't line up? I can easily make a frontplate/backplate to hold the cooler? All it is metal plates with the holes that line up right?
I have access to a machine shop and perfect metal. You can wiretie a 120 mm fan to it too ya?

This is good since I only have the 8800GT and nothing else. My other rigs are all AGP LOL! This'll give more time for others to come out with different heatsinks for this card. But the HR 03 is going to be tough to beat.

For those who used the Accelero S1, did you have to get any additional heatsinks or did AC provide enough heatsinks to cover everything?

It comes with 8 ramsinks and 2 vreg sinks, but the vreg sinks isn't made for 8800GT.

Im using one on my 8800GT as well and it looks fine so far, the only comment I would make is be careful when you are clamping down the main GPU sink since I have heard reports that the 8800GT's core is above the shim and you could possibly crush it if you use too much force.

So should I order some more sinks for those or will it just work fine?

Edit: NVM, going have to get some more sinks going off of the Thermalright HR03 Installation page.

Does Zalman RHS88 fits on 8800GT?

am very interested on it and also i would like to buy the VF1000 model too... Maybe someone here has this combo because the GT fan is everything less than quiet (From 50% to 100% its very noisy )

I got myself TT ND1 for like $25

Here is GoldenTiger's pic with cards in SLI (you have to bend fan pins a bit but that is easy):

I see you are using the RHS88 as well.

I know this is recommended but can I install the VF1000 without this RHS88? I am thinking to use just the little memory heatsinks that comes with the VF1000?

Would the Arctic Accelero X1 fit?... lets take a look:

I'm not sure, would the memchips on the DVI side be a bit to far away?
Maybe there's a photoshop "expert" here who can make a nice overlay?

Why i'm asking it? Its a pretty big good blok and it only costs 10 euro's
