holy geeze there are a lot of replies in here. I don't have a whole lot of patience for reading through it all, but is this board consistent in clocks? Is it also safe to use for 24/7 folding when voltages are applied? I am just looking for a new board since my evga died on me. Any current mods also to address vdrop or vdroop?

    thanks

The answers to everything asked is in this thread. Other then that the only thing I might add is other then price it's currently the best P35 based board available.

I feel this is probably the most reliable board I have ever owned. Man, is this thing a rock. the only faults for me so far are related to reading sub-zero temps as I use phase. the temp is about 15c lower than actual, also smart guardian displaty 255c if you are @ freezing then counts down as temps rise. (my cpu is really @ -40c but S.G. displays 200c. ie: 255c - 40 = 215 -the 15c it reads wrong =200c.) In other words if you show 30c you are really closer to 45c.IMO.
I would not hesitate to recommend this board for folding or crunching I believe Brother Esau and CyberDruid both are heavy crunchers. I do not since my unit is phase cooled and my electric bill would be ridiculous for the number of units done.

Wow, it seems to be acting like something is shorting it out or perhaps your heatsink is not making good contact and your CPU is overheating?

I had a problem like that once in my DFI NF4 when I used liquid metal TIM on my unlidded Opteron 165, and it leaked over the CPU die and onto some of the elec components... had to wipe it clean and then I was back in business.

I did it exactly right... apply'd very little compound on the heatsink and spread it all over just to get it ready. Apply'd a single small line across the Q6600.

So anyone else considering getting some ATI 3870 Crossfire action going on this board soon? I'm wondering if some tweaking can help out the pci-e 4x bandwidth through the SB... I know Anandtech did some comparisons testing for bottlenecks with the 16x/4x crossfire and some things ran into slowdowns. You think increasing pci-e freqency might hold me over until DFI releases the x38 version?

OCZ D9GMH based stuff seems to do well.

I have had great results with these Crucial Ballistix. Very good no frills ram, havent had any issues having to fiddle with sticks to get all 4 to post - they all work at defaults together which is great.

Edit: only bad thing i have to say about the ballistix is the heat spreader design is crap. 2 out of my 4 stick's thermal tape doesnt make full contact with the IC's... Just a weak clip

The G-SKILL works good in this Board except mine cant do 1050mhz my ~Cell Shock~ (PC2 8000) 4-4-4-12 was the biggest disappointment to pay $330.00 for some very exceptional sticks of Ram and this chipset does not like the Ram IC's at all! I have also tried Crucial Ballistix Tracers (PC2 8500) 5-5-5-15 and they also did not excel in this board for me either and donated them to my Buddy Dave (Movieman) for his system we all threw in on because he's such a good sh*t and we love him so much Then I have these OCZ FLEX which have scaled the best out of 5 different sets of the highest end Ram available, alsop others with OCZ Memory have the best results from what I have seen the most constant performers are.....\\

Had no problems with GSkills...went 1032MHz even at stock voltages. then got lazy to push it more hahahaha.

Brother Esau is most likely referring to long-term known stability rather then a validation screenshot. If CPU-Z is all we are talking about the OCZ still take it. I can post that at 1350 using warranty voltage.

Yea this isn't like the old DFI-STREET is it John? Back then and there No one would even consider posting anything unless it was Blend stable for 8hrs or more!

okies, was bored today, so i went into work and modded my vapochill LS clamshell (939) to fit the 775, i've got everything ready only have to goto the rubber shop and get some new rubber gaskets which i'll do 2morrow...i hope to get to 4ghz or over with this but i have been told that these units dont like high vcore with q6600's, as far as i know this vapochill has been modded, but to what degree i don't know, looks to have the stock condensor so maybe it only has different gas in it, so i'll let you guys know how i go 2morrow night.....
