My IP35 Pro is on its way from Clubit! Should i be using BIOS 11 or 14. Im planning on doing the bolt mod leaving the TIM pads in place. I have a Thermaltake Armor Case with a 25CM side intake fan. Do you think I still need the the 40mm fans for the NB and Mosfet area

I would definitely use the 14 BIOS since the 11 BIOS that ships with most boards (I still believe that's the case) is almost 4 months old. I think most agree that the 14 BIOS is more stable than the 11 and provides better chance for greater OC.

As for your cooling, it all depends on where the 25CM fan is blowing. The PWM heatsink will get the hottest so if you put a 40mm fan on anything, I would put it there. I have the bolt mod installed and 2 40mm fans, one on the NB and the other on the PWM. Honestly, the 40mm fans push so little air that I'm not even sure it's doing anything. I know my CPU tuniq tower 120 heatsink is doing the majority of cooling on the PWM and not the silly 40mm. It's your choice. Your 25CM likely puts out a lot of air flow so if it's directly over the PWM or NB heatsinks, then I don't believe you will need any additional fans.

As for my PWM, it gets bloody hot even with a 40mm fan and the bolt mod installed. After 1 hour of Prime95, my PWM will be over 80C!! It's unreal.

i would go with the 16 beta bios...that bios allows to save bios changes without the puter shutting down and then powering back on...there is no change in performance as far as i can detect with my hardware.

memset will not work with this board unless you use the 11 bios.

i am considering to stay with this board with the Penryn cpu...i am planning on purchasing a QX9650 if they don't get sucked up in the first day of availablity...if the board does not work well with the QX9650 then i will move on to the X48 chipset.
