Check out this overclock on stock!

    Core: 744Mhz
    Memory: 1009Mhz (2018Mhz)

Note that the shaders aren't clocked to the claimed top of 1.75 ghz (rather 1.625) So it can still be faster! May even break 15, 000 (see the thread)!

    http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...gt-review.html

makes crysis playable in DX 10 1600x1200 (30fps)!

    41fps (now i like that) in 1280 x 1024.

    Man i can't wait.

question when u guys say max over clock
curious u guys mean artifact free or for benching.. cause if benching i can push this further and will beat that evga no probs overclocked above no probs

hmm second xfx card that i had that was nuts

previous was the xfx 8800gts 320mb a3 revision that did 702/1728/2106 stable...without any mods
    have screenies for it.

compare the gt with this overclocked 8800gts with HR03 plus + FM123

pic of my rig in case :P
    Same Setup as above except
    proc is E6850 L720A958
    XFX 8800gts 320mb 702/1728/2106 +HR03plus+FM123

    Aquamark

    3dmark06

    Q6600 GO @ 445x7@ 3.56

The proc score is higher and so everything else because this was a fresh install of windows with nothing in it except for forceware driver/ mobo driver and directX10 under diagnostic mode

Beta driver for GeForce 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs including GeForce 8800 GT.
Recommended driver for Crysis single player game demo and TimeShift.
Several game and application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, features, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.

Perhaps these fix the SLI issues I've seen reported?

    no bro
    ati tool doesnt work

so far hmm i did the force driver support for riva .. not too good buggy at times
so just went and download gainward expert vision.
see that red icon on the taskbar on the 8800gt posting for 3dmark06

    another thing
    on that XFX 8800gts HR03plus + FM123 above @ 702/1728/2106
when i was playing crysis on 1920x1200 the Optimal setting was set at Mid for everything

when i switch to the xfx 8800gt alpha dog edition running at 700/1750/2000 the optimal setting was set on High for everything

    at E6850 @ 500x8 4ghz for both

thats the reason why i sold it off at 10p.m. via a forum and took the card from a computer shop worker who reserved the card for me at 1 a.m.

the limitation of my gts OCed was already been pushed by new games at 1920x1200.
was very sure that by the time the full retail version with full physics and more enemies the card would be defeated

Do we have any new reviews using after market coolers?

This review they tried both the Thermalright HR-03 Plus and HR-11 and they don't fit, maybe not new news to many.

I like this comment from the techreport review:

And if you've played the Crysis demo, you're probably really ready to upgrade. I've never seen a prettier low-res slide show.

    hmm for after market cooling
depends on somebody finding the volt mods for this card kekek hence hmm the request on the earlier page
the 8800gts was kindda pointless for volt mod with so little increment with the OVp

i wonder to fugger and rest does this card have an overvoltage protection??
or is this card like ati card we can keep overclocking the card as long we cool the card??

Quick question. What would you guys say are the chances of a Q6600 not bottlenecking a midrange 8900 when it's released?

AGH, bad luck . Maybe see if they'll refund the difference between 2-day and overnight due to their error?

GoldenTiger: Have you gotten a "shipped" e-mail from Fry's yet? I ordered from outpost.com last night when they were still taking orders for it and I haven't gotten anything besides an order confirmation e-mail.

fugger did a review in the review section .. it seems like most ppl got ~750 / core 1800 shader / 2000 mem .....

shaders @ > 1714 MHz, then u'll have more shader processing power than stock Ultra .... for $250 u can pretty much get ultra's performance, assuming bandwidth/VRAM isnt an issue in that app ...

funny how 2900XT has pretty much twice the bandwidth (512bit vs 256bit of 8800GT) @ the same memory speed

    Nice!
It's not my expected 2x performance, but it's a nice 30% improvement, I guess it's worth selling my X1900XTX and upgrading to 8800GT if it costs me under $50

XP is not dead kids, real developers are still making games compatible with 9800/6600 and Windows 2000

    Question:
Will the X1900 coreblock mounts work with 8800GT?
I'd like to make my maze4 last as long as possible
