Perhaps it's not actually G92, but just a G80 cut down from 8 to 7 instead of 8 to 6 units for the old GTS.
Seems like the 8800GT will still win out. This has the same number of shaders as the 8800GT now, but it's still clocked quite a bit lower (for the default version at least and the shader clock). The 8800GT showed that the memory bandwidth wasn't tooooo important for most games, although the slightly larger frame buffer may help the new GTS in certain cases.
