New 30000btu cascade.R410-R1150 (56k warning)

Today i started a new cascade for a friend from outofspecs.gr Nikos wants something powerfull for his quad. So i choose almost the same parts as the previous cascade. The only differences are the compressor/gas for first stage and a bit smaller condeser. I just finished the first stage and probably by the end of this week i will have the first results.

Very nice monster, however wont you want to have the first stage feed the bottom of the plate hx.
Do you feel you need such large compressors by the way? Also, is that a 10 plate heat exchanger? (Just wondering)

No but the money difference between a 9000btu and a 18000btu is really small...
Also with 18000btu in first stage i am not pushing the system to the limits.

1,8m length x2 (you can start from 2,2m)
0,78 diameter.

The cap tubes must be exactly exactly exactly the same! and must placed exactly at the same place both.

Yes they need to be, but they dont have to be. Since your using both to the same evaporator you wont have much of a difference if theres a difference in between the captubes.

Looking great Something I dare not venture in typically due to power drain... you lucky 220 volters
R410a compressors typically are around that size to begin with NoL. As for feeding hx from top, there is reason to that from what I see especially considering gas utilized. I wonder how 2nd stage would like it though not having cross flow myself though Get back to us with some results Unseen

Thanks for the info mate, look forward to seeing how well the 410a does, it should be a great first stage refrigerant and be able to hold the load of the second stage easy with the added bit of extra cooling.
