**Official DFI LanParty UT P35-T2R Review/Overclock/Guide Thread**

Hi guys, i have this board seems ok, but i have two issues that i needed assistance with.
One is the board only recognizes 3.25GB of memory no matter what order i put them in.. tested memory with memtest 86+ no errors, but Vista 64 will only show the 3.25.. i had an abit pro, asus deluxe and msi plat. these all recognized the 4gb's of Geil memory

Other issue is i cannot get my wireless card to run, i have an edimax and i just bought a netgear but neither will run, keeps saying "cant load b/c of a problem" but doesn't explain the problem.. any ideas?

Did you do a clean install of o.s.? what are your bios settings etc. The wireless problem is a little vague also... These guys are pretty smart here but you gotta give a few more clues.

im happy at 3.2ghz, if my cpu wouldnt get so hot i would try for more... tweaking the gtl and upping the voltage on the nb vtt and cpu help pc not to crash and stayed stable

Thnx , i wasn't sure what i should outline to help narrow the problem. Yes i did a fresh install of V64 when i bought the board a few days ago. My Bios settings are the default optimized that is shipped with.. i have the LT version of the board(pg. 59)

Oh CPUz recognizes all 4 dimms being filled, and lists the timmings, but the system tab still shows 3.25GB.

What should i list to help with the wireless issue?

Its a Vista Problem dude, What bios are you on? 9/13/07 Addresses that very issue!

Also do us a favor if you are asking for help and create you're self a signature of you're hardware and O.S while you are there

make, model #, driver version , didyou get the compatibility pop-up after the error? just like @the doctors office try to be thorough.

I never got the compatibility error, the connections tab/box just will not recognize the device as installed, and theres the yellow ? next to it in the device manager tab. I've tried installing a few different drivers to no avail.
The Edimax wont even install on the system(installed drivers, but component couldnt be found).. not sure if its dead or what(worked in the asus on tueday)

PS- i was wrong, i do have the UT.. just looked at the box

Also, to update my bio's do i need a floppydrive? or is there another method.

PS-i also didn't install the transpiper.. does it make a big difference in system temps?

For those of you Interested in a Pre Programmed "8mb" Bios Chip for the D.F.I P35 T2R what Bios would you guys prefer to have Programmed 9/13/07 Official or 10/05/07 Beta?

im interested in a bios chip but im all the way in australia, i'd also need the tool to change it, i think the 9/13 official would be a better choice, i could do direct transfer to your account....

Yeah that's an awesome device.

Too bad it doe not work on Soldered in chips like the P5K3...

I usually keep a BIoS chip on hand for any boards I really like.

Guys I just noticed something strange.... If you set 1.65/1.7v + on the NB the (Graphic interface transfer rate) drops down to 1x on the motherboard tab of CPU-Z.

Can you guys confirm this is the case with your rigs, I am using the 1005 BIOS BTW but confirmation with any BIOS would be nice.

For anyone that is interested I finally got to the bottom of my issue above.

It would be nice if anyone else could confirm or deny this issue so we all know whether its a non issue i.e my board or otherwise.

When you run the "PCIE Clock" over 110 & dial in 1.7v NB the board drops the "Graphic interface transfer rate" down to 1x. I have tested this with 913, 1005 & the1019 BIOS's.

I have been running the PCIE Clock at or over 110 since I have had this board & it continues to run 110mhz @ 3.8ghz DDR1190 with 1.61v NB however if you want to go faster say 3.9ghz ish you may need to add some extra NB voltage to keep it stable & to do so without the Graphic interface transfer rate dropping to 1x you have to drop the PCIE clock.
