Sorry to hear about the issues. use a spoon to pry it off from the back. and if you can try to put something thin and firm like a credit card under the spoon to keep from damaging the board.

I manage to take it out but the part where us to stick to the motherboard got stuck to it... It's totally gone now... will that effect on the next install? Having that part missing?....

I seriously wouldn't worry about that Ultra power supply. The things I read over at DIY about the psu's that are not compatible with DFI boards listed the Ultra, but the Ultra was listed from a few years ago. The ones today, the X3 line in particular, is thought very highly of. Here is a review of the X3 1000watt unit:

    http://www.jonnyguru.com/review_details.php?id=103

On the other part of your last post, is that Thermalright backplate stuck on that well that it won't come off??? I was going to install the new XWB-1 waterblock, but don't really feel like going through that hassle if something doesn't work out right.

First off you should have never peeled off the peel and stick...I dunno why TT thinks someone wants that kind of hassle.

Secondly you simply need to use another piece of foam tape to insulate the bracket from the board. You can use double-sided foam tape and piece it together. But this time do not remove the protective film when applying to the mobo!

BTW you can use Electronic or electrical parts cleaner (spraycan) from the Auto parts to remove some adhesives...does not work on everything but does work on some foam tape.

Has anyone got this version of the board? If so what sort of results have you been getting, it looks excellent for watercooling.

Gotta tell ya guys I added a 60mm x 25mm 19.7 cfm fan right over the PWM area and my temps under load in prime have dropped 10c on PWM and 8c on NB For 3-$4.00 for a fan (Panaflow) 19.7 cfm from New Egg you can certainly expect some massive temp drops!

Hey, Nelly how are you doing? There is a thread exclusively just for the non transpiper version of the board started by Andre Yang

Hey there, not so bad tempted to go for something very watercooling friendly hence the above. Just found the thread you mentioned:- http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&highlight=DFI

Yup... and it runs 4GHz 24/7 with my e6850. I have had it up to 4.2GHz prime stable, but throttle it back to 4.0GHz for everyday use.

The CPU is set at 1.53v and under Prime95, it got up to 40*C reported by Smart Guardian. I understand that you add 15 degrees to that, so, the CPU went up to around 55*C.

    Cheers!

Oh, there's nothing worse than a board w/ the high pitched whine. My Abit 1st AA8XE drove me mad! He's going to get a highly overclockable and friendly board w/ a leftover quad stuck in the socket.

Guys please help me get prepared for this next one... when I get the new board... what should I do first? I already have the PSU inside... all the standoffs are in the case... ( by the way how do you place a bolt in one of them? its behind this tube... can't figure it out... don't feel like taking parts off from the MB to get that bolt in there ) . So take out the MB when it comes... place the CPU in there ( Q6600 ) ... place the MB in the case... place some thermal paste... install the Thermalright 120 Xtreme... install one stick of ram... ( Which one? (1) 512MB Kingston 667 (2) 1GB Crucial 800 (3) 1GB Corsair 1066? ) in the closest to the CPU slot the first one? Connect the 24 pin and 8 pin from PSU to MB.. then install the videocard and connect that too... and turn it on?...

First thing you do is get some replacement adhesive tape from TT and peel the sticker off and re apply
The screw just leave that one out as I seriously doubt even if you went through the effort and got it in ....how did you plan on reinstalling the heat pipe assembly

Ran Prime last night while doing some GTL testing and forgot to shut it down. This morning it was still going. The board's stable at 3800 without even trying.

Yup its a great board that just keeps getting better.

On the 1005 BETA BIOS, the memory has been tweaked & now my OCZ's will run with all the "Read delay phase adjust" set to enable or switch them all back to auto & it will run read delay 6 on the 266/667 good & stable all the way up to DDR 1300.

With read delay 6 @ 3.8 DDR 1190 Everest is making 10650mb/s read with 46.5ns latency which is 300mb/s better than the 913 BIOS sweet.

    @Praz

Regarding your settings. Care to post up the critical voltages? I have been able to idle at 4.1 for half a day and run benches at 4050 and now I want to get minimum voltages set for long term Folding at 3800.

I've been running StressCPU2_32 for several hours and I think I could drop down a tad on all the voltages so any reference points would be a great help.

    Thanks.
