    Not sure,

Ive been working on it as much as i can, its hard balancing a day job, girlfriend and of course my stomach with projects lie this! im hoping to get most of the black and white work done by the end of the weekend. - but i may have other plans for the weekend.

so in other words, i don't know!

Last one for tonight, i need sleep :|

Ive started to put some shape into the legs and the rest of the dress as i didn't want to do too much at one end of that section, in case it all got thrown off balance.

Ive went back in with a little more black to pick out parts of the gloves and push parts of the face back also.

    good night!

    Update anyone?

SO tonight I have been working on the little angel again, and the gloves. This time concentration on the left glove ( our right ) And on reviewing the pics ive spotted a mistake I've made already lol

I have also added more to the dress, and the legs are almost finished too.

The first stage of the lace trim around the bottom of the dress has been started too ( those weird looking bright dots)

I'm working on this til late tonight so may have another update later on. don't think i can do any tomorrow night as im working late and have a girlfriend that is due some attention!

Started to rough in the glove

Stronger highlights on the face have been added, and a little more detail to the hair

start of the lace, and more detail in the glove

    Legs almost done!

Now, i know this was meant to be freehand , but within freehand airbrushing comes occasions when a little bit of masking must be used! this is one of them, and there will be more.
It is a leather belt / strap on the Big Daddies arm that i really want to look good. If must be masked so i don't screw the legs up with over spray.

ha ha, My day job - believe it or not is just as different and exciting as this!, I truly have a unique day job, as well as a unique evening job

small update before i hit the sack

***edit*** Excuse the crappy photo's, there was a load of paint int he air and the flash just loves to pick it up!

Just some detail of airbrushing one of the shoulder plates. What you see here is just the basics of it, only one colour here so far. so again - i aint quite there yet... only posting it to show a bit of masking technique.

    and as it is now:

Awesome paint job (coming from a professional painter)!!!! What kind of clearcoat are you planning on using? I'm just asking because if it's too cool or humid you can use some retarder (not kidding ) to prevent it from clouding and get it to lay down. Most of my experience with clear coat is with lacquer which I am currently spraying on the woodwork of a huge house, I imagine you're using urethane or something.... What products are bein' used here?

    Great Work!

    Hey there...
Some of this may get lost in translation as things are named different accross the pond.

I paint using automotive base coats - the type used for respraying / repairing cars. and the laquer is a 2-pack clear coat ( mixxed with laquer and hardener)

As far as i know, we call these base coats and 2 pack's, I think you call them urethanes and poly urethanes. - Its pretty much the house of kolour system with a different name.

The system is by MIPA, I think they are a german brand but their products compare to House of kolor! Its really good stuff.

Thankfuly I have 2 guys that do my clear coating for me. I believe that it is an art in its own right, and best left to the Pro's! it involves a big of transport and a little extra cost but its worth it for sure.

I need to get some base coat retarder anyway... Its just proving hard as the paint suppliers over here just wont entertain you! they dont know about anything 'custom' and just wont help. Theres only one supplier i know who understands what i need but its a hell of a drive away
England sucks for this kind of stuff!

This looks fantastic, could very well be the best airbrush job I've ever seen on a case.

Whats something like this cost? It's ok if you'd rather not say, but I think you could generate some serious business with a product of this caliber...

I know retarders and naptha slow drying and xylene, toluene, lacquer thinner, MEK, etc. speed it up. Yeah we here in the states probably have too much access to chemicals because I've seen plenty of painters using and overusing stuff for a purpose that it wasn't designed for. Either way, nice work.
