    Good Morning!

The DFI is still live and kicking out the Work Units...

Ran it in at stock speed all night...now it's time to mess it up some more

1.5V is fine for VTT and the NB should be alright as long as active cooling is used to keep temps below 45C. For those concerned with 24/7 use long term, 450 FSB is probably the upper limit. Once that threshold is crossed a voltage somewhere is going to have to be pushed past the range that most would consider safe for 24/7 use.

here are some clocking results on the Cellchock ram sticks that i promised.. must say that they need a lot of voltage to reach high clocks. but good ol torturing is always nice

first 3-4-4-4 i was able to reach 500mhz.. probably could have done a little bit better but the clock was 3am when is started to do the 3-4-4-4 tests

next i tested how far i could take the sticks with fairly tight timings 4-4-4-4 i was able to reach 608mhz

and finally tightest timings possible in 600mhz 4-4-3-3

This illustrates what the problem is when using these chips with the P35 chipset. They will never last at 2.50 volts.

hmmm you might be right if you will not use some sort of active cooling one em.. that is really not a huge problem for me cos im more into extreme cooling anyways and don't run my stuff with high voltages 24/7.. haha and btw that 4.90v (voltage set in bios) was just incase..
they might clock well at lower voltages too, just have to try it first

I doubt at those clocks you will get any love with less voltage!

good luck, we have exerienced random failures and system crashes with D9GKX based modules, when clocked anywhere over 1050mhz cas4 or cas 5. The fault lies with Intel's DDR2 controller implementation, such a shame really, as those who paid high price for good kits deserved a little better.. Other than 1m runs, it's not really possible to do anything meaningful with them, gaming, folding even running encoding applications represent a fair load, expect some blue screens or failure messages mid run. USing over 2.4v with Micron ususally leads to deterioration within 6 months, even if cooled, electromigration is a big issue.

    regards

    24/7 Stability

Guys this is my current 24/7 setup...stable for more than 8-hours over Prime95, Orthos & OCCT:

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=257188

I was hoping for some suggestions/comments/opinions if I could squeeze more with lower voltages good for 24/7 run.

I think for the most part we are all expecting AMD Memory performance from this board but reality dictates that its not gonna happen!

    Need a little information.

My OC is done at 3.6 and everything seemed fine.

last nite I played some games with my bro and after 1-2 hours of play my PC rebooted ... I tough my temp was high or something so I started to play again and looked my temp at each 10 mins ... they were verry low, maybe 1-2 degrees more than when my PC is on idle mode.

    And it rebooted again.

So, I downcloacked my OC at 3.2 and no more reboot, I played for 4-5 hours and it was fine.

If temp are ok, why my pc reboot ?

Is it voltage missing somewhere ?

    any help would be appreciate.

    Thanks !

I have a question about this board:

Does this board support the Intel Kentsfield Xeons such as this one: Intel Xeon X3210? Thanks.

I flashed to the 10/05/07 BIOS and shut down and changed hardware around and rebooted and got hung at code 02. I am thinking maybe the ES I am using is not supported.

    I will

I put in my G0 Q6600 just to make sure all was well.

I am going to do some benches with the G0 and the HD 2900XT for now.

Funny that the Yorkfield booted fine in the P5K3...
