WOW Cool. Nice toy. I would have almost no use for one but damn I want it. And damn good price. I need to think of reasons I would need this.

nice work, looks like you have about 100x more patience than I do
I think your biggest challenge will be making the pins/pin heads thinner, the more you can fit in there the merrier![]()

Looks good so far!
$600 isn't too much but it's the accessories/tools that really jack up the price
I just looked at you block and I must say very nice work
Yeah been doing civil and transportation for 10 years now. It's a good job, but I like anything that let's you experiment risk free. And if you want CNC, you can pick up a Traig mill all setup with CNC for about $2000 that would do small stuff. I thought about that too, but figured what I really want is just something I can try different stuff with, and this will work fine for that.
No doubt about it though, cutting pins is extremely time consuming, CNC would be awesome for that. I may try cutting with my 1/64th in saw, but before I do that, I'll have to make my own arbor that supports the blade, it's just too thin for the arbor I have currently.
Success so far..![]()
For a second, I thought you were posting pics of a hefty girlfriend or something, luckily it was a gorgeous mill.
Custom D5 pump top like, these?

Got a mate with a shed and a mill.
Replaced this garbage gimbal
With this. Not bad for a backyard job.
The guy is one of the best thinkers and cutters I've ever met.
From what I noticed, the seal for the pump needs a decent amount of force to seal well, so I would add a decent amount of holes in delrin with a coarser thread to prevent stripping.
Those in the pic were chrome plated aluminum with chromed steel brackets, essentially copies of the Polarflo TT conversion kit for the D4 pump. The machining of these are pretty difficult...
I'm really jealous Martin. When you get that block worked out, you should really show us something and make one from SILVER. Currently only $13.77 an oz.
