I have 2 gig in that system BUT 500MB is needed constantly for the WU's.

Vista uses all ram available in a caching system, often my 4GB is 90% used, but it is all cached, the minute something requests ram, the cache is dumped allowing the ram to be available to whatever task is asking for it
