I have been experiencing a weird problem with my board that has drove me nuts all weekend. I am assuming now It is just up to my ignorance after reading the past few pages. I will be the first to admit that this board is a little over my head when compared to my Ultra-D. I never expected so many different voltage options that have to be setup a particular and certain way in order to have the board run nicely. Sigh.
Anyhow, on to my problem if it is even easily answered. I was using the 333/800 divider option and had my Q6600 running 3.06ghz at stock volts which is 1.2750VID for my particular cpu. My 4GB Ballistix PC2-8500 was running at a palty 815mhz at 1.9v 4-4-4-12. Anyhow. I primed small FFT's for 11+h without an error at those speeds. I primed 10.5h Blend at those settings without an error and was able to run OCCT for 1h+ without error. The problem was when I cranked all settings to max in 3DMark06 and tried to loop it the system would either lockup or reboot itself without notice. This was anywhere from a couple minutes to 1.5h. I tried raising cpu Vcore to no help. I have no idea why I could test my cpu and ram without issues for 10h+ but running 3DMark06 would cause such an issue. Mind you, I could run the stock tests day and night, it was when I raised resolution and added AA/AF that the problems starting happening. Temps were in range, voltages were in range yet this still happened. Does anyone have any clue what I may need to change in order to get 3DMark06 to loop indefinitely with the same stability that my cpu and ram have had when being tested in any other manner? To be sure it wasn't my video card I loaded optimized defaults and looped 3DMark06 last night while at work for 10h with everything at stock and it was still running when I came home. That should prove that my video card is fine and it is either my cpu/ram or both causing the hard locks and reboots. Terribly sorry for the long winded post but it has really saddened me to come across such an annoying obstacle after having everything else run so smooth for the past week.
