Sweet, thanks a lot Ace, it's much appreciated. Anyone else with there settings?

The lockups happened during load testing. (ie: Prime95-any test and Memtest)

you don't need to stay there very long...this is to verify if those voltage increases make it stable in raid....if it is stable...then back only one thing down per each instance you run the stress program...this is where Uguru pays off in big dividends...you can do all the adjusting from windows

usually freezes occur when the system is significantly under voltage in one or more categories, or you have a major defect in a piece of hardware.

Before running the 2 raps in raid, OC was easy. Keeping your data safe AND enjoying a good OC takes a whole nother level of patience. But Ace...as always...has the answer. ROAST that SB man! Here's my settings.

Sorry about the lame and lazy screen, but hey...as you can see, I'm trying to get some UT2K4 Instagib on. If I go any lower on the ICHIO, my arrays will freak out. Even at that high level of v, it doesn't really get that hot. Anyway, hope it helps...no one should have to suffer from recovering a RAID volume!!!

I can now understand how increasing the volts might fix the lockups in Raid, but would it also fix the slow speed of the array?

    Thanks for the info.

Edit: Your Intel Storage Manager screen also looks a lot different than mine. I know that you have two different arrays, but for my "Array_0000" sub-section did not say "Matrix Stripe" or "Stripe." Mine said, "Volume 1." Is that ok?

The default name is "Volume0", if you have "Volume 1" you named it that or maybe you did it twice and it was really "Volume1".

The 2 74GB Raptors get about 175MB/Sec STR and 7.0ms RAT. I've no idea about the 2 Hitachi 250's as they're just a mirror for my important stuff. The names of arrays were changed so I could identify what's what.

    Hi!

Today my new Board arrived! Question, is it impossible,... on the Board near the Northbridgecooler (right Side) is a small Sticker with a Letter ( i´ve only see "A") and a Barcode! My Board is labelled with Letter "B"..., that A means first Choise and B second??
Anyone knows more about the Sticker??

    Greetings from Austria

    Regards

You are correct. I changed the name in the setup menu.

    USB ROOT HUB Problems

    Hi,

Has anyone experienced USB root hub problems with IP35 Pro. I installed Win XP pro last night and none of my USB root hubs work. The ICH9R drivers installed fine (I'm using Matrix Raid) and I tried using WIndowsUpdate to update the drivers but it doesn't detect anything. Oh, using SP2 as well so it's very strange....Thanks

beside installing the Raid Matrix driver...did you install the latest "Intel INF" drivers?

have you checked the "device manager" to see if there are yellow exclamations which would show that the USB devices were not working?..if this is the case, delete all those entries and then reboot to see if they install properly.

what bios version are you using?...if you are using bios 10 (original shipping bios), i would recommend upgrading to '11' official bios.

have you checked in the bios to see if the USB device is "enabled"?...by default it is enabled but it is always good to check.

if all the above is checked and accomplished, i would say the board has a defective USB hub chip...RMA time then!

Ace, what is the main reason for switching to the "11" bios? I'm using the one the that shipped with the board "10", seems to be fine. Any info would be great, thanks!

    BIOS11
    1. Support CL=3.
    2. Enhanced compatibility with certain memories.
    3. Support Command Rate adjusting function.
    4. Update Jmicron BIOS to V1.06.69.
    5. BIOS compiled date: 07/09/2007

The main thing for me was the increased range for several memory timings. The G.Skill I was running can do 4-4-3-5 but the lowest I could set was 4-4-4-9.

USB's set to hispeed in bios right? A couple months ago I had a problem w/ installing the latest chipset driver from intel and then losing my USB functionality altogether. That was in XP w/ the DFI P965.

Yes, USB is set to hispeed

    @Ace

I did install the Intel Inf drivers. And I'm using beta 12 bios. In device manager, it doesn't let me delete the exclamations, only disable? And yes, USB device is enabled....And I can't RMA the board. I did your Heatpipe mod and went to too much trouble setting it up!

i am sorry, i should have said "uninstall"...do that and reboot to get them to reinstall again...if they do not intall properly again, try installing the INF drivers again.

I did install the Intel Inf drivers. And I'm using beta 12 bios. In device manager, it doesn't let me delete the exclamations, only disable? And yes, USB device is enabled....And I can't RMA the board. I did your Heatpipe mod and went to too much trouble setting it up!

Yea, I figured you meant uninstall and did that too. That crapped XP. Some lsass.exe error....so reinstalling again fresh...

LOL, either one is good. I don't see any option to reply specifically to a message. I used the "Quote" option but I don't see the nice grayed-out boxes in the reply.
