I doubt it, but its worth a try.

I set 1x 1xs to 4x (I thought this is related to the other PCI-E slots, not sure why it changed your readout from 1x to 4x.), and no change, also set PCI to v 1.0 (from 1.0a) Nothing I do changes it from 16x.

    1. Is your cards BIOS modded?
    2. Are you using the PCI-E slot clodest to the CPU (just had to ask)
    3. If all else fails, perhaps CPU-Z is wrong. Have you benchmarked your card to see that it is performing as it should?

You must use the very first and top most PCIE slot to get 16x. That is the ONLY slot on the board that will run 16x. If you are using the middle or the bottom slot they will only run at 1x/4x depending on how you have the bios setup. I am running an 8800 Ultra without the floppy connector being used on the board and if the card is in the top most slot it runs at 16x np. Hope that helps.

firstly, no my cards bios isnt modded, im using the middle slot on the board, the 2nd PCI-e x16 (according to the manual) Slot, like i said according to the manual all 3 are x 16 slots when used alone (with nothing plugged into the others), i chose the middle one for 3 reasons, 1 convienience, 2 to save re-routing my water cooling, and 3 the GFX card generates alot of heat, didnt want to to close to a hot NB and a Hot Quad.

Im about to stick the misses GFX card in (8500GT) and see what gives. but I will try the top slots tomorrow now, or should i say later today as its now 3am here in the UK.

I'd give it 99.9% likely that its the slot.

Agreed, its a tight fit, mine is too, but if you only have one card on any mobo that I am aware of, you need it in the main PCI-E X16 slot.

It is the slot. The only one on the board capable of running x16 is the first (closest to the memory).

    Owner's manual, Chapter 1 - Introduction
    Specifications
    Expansion Slots

    • 3 PCI Express x16 slots (PCIE1 at x16, PCIE3 at x4 or x1 and
    PCIE4 at x1
    )
    • 1 PCI Express x1 slot
    • 3 PCI slots

i was messing with my overclock yesturday, trying for 4 ghz, but i got stuck with the c1 error, no matter what i did i couldn't get back into the bios, in the end i removed one stick of ram and bingo all good, reloaded my previous overclock that i know works, put the ram back in and its all fine now.

Yes.....I did remove the entire Heat Pipe assembly and it was very time consuming and awkward. Like I said Don't Bother!

I just flashed to the latest. The BIOS that came with the board only allowed a maximum 10x multi with an QX6700.
Latest BIOS gave up to 50x multi.

09/13 Bios work very well with Cellshock PC8000, but don't solve the problems with Team Group Pc9600 with frequencies over 1200Mhz.

Hey guys, any ideas about this board's revision?

found something like R.A11 revision is better than R.A03, where on the board can this be found?

    thanks..

Thanks your testing. I'll ask Oskar to release unlock multi bios for QX6700.

Try to use SPD Tool flash team SPD from cellshock SPD.

Good advice Andre. The key to high ram speed and performance. A set of modules that are known to clock well and a SPD that the board likes.

No possibility that the bios he becomes compatible with the Teamgroup?
I would not want to lose the guarantee of the ram, or worse to risk than to destroy them.

I don't think it's just the SPD but also the individual PCBs as well in relation to maybe clock fine delay values (need to play with those). I have 6 sets of 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 memory (3 regular and 3 tracers) and each set of 2x1GB likes different clock fine delay values at different memory clocks/memory dividers and they differ from bios to bios (best being 8/23 bios as i haven't tried 9/13).

Been messing around with one of the 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-8500 kits with 8/23 bios on 2:3 divider for super pi 32M runs

If the available settings Oskar has provided aren't used some memory can be a challenge. I haven't done much with the 3:2 divider. Looks like Everest takes a pretty good performance hit at 600MHz compared to the 6:5 divider.

2:3 is FSB limited compared to 5:6 at high FSB

How was the PWM block attached? Do you think it could be easily removed? Thinking about cooling just the NB and SB blocks. Just wondering if I can take the PWM block apart without cutting the block.

    TIA for the help.
