EARLY samples at least. Not sure if they're what you intel ppl call ES's, but I guess they are.

What's so about that, btw? You have one?

Do you think my 3700+ is capable to hit 3,2 - 3,4GHz?
I will test both of them when my DFI Expert arrives.

Isn't there a difference between early samples and actual ES samples?

Well, the ES samples of Intel are spread around the world .

Basicly, these Axxxx steppings are qualification steppings? ES samples of AMD are known to be held at the factory.

CPUs like your are definately ES's. My guess is that the later ES's are those Axxxx chips with the core voltage written on the bottom of the chip.

You have über-ES samples , which are most likely not interesting from a oc'ers point of view.

THe early ones aren't great OC'ers, that right. But darn, must be nice to have one of those anyway. Just for bragging rights

I have a feeling that gianni is a bit like me

    Less than 3g @ 1.35-1.4v =

It's the same with me, btw. When I pay $10000000 for a chip it always sucks. When I get a nice stepping for "free" it rocks.

Gianni, you have the 156 WR anyway.
