    Thank you!

    @ v0dka

I cooled with water. Was outside on the balkony, because the ambient temp was low (10°C). Will try the same in winter

What core temp did you have when you got that sucide screen? , found the cold bug yet?

9°C/18°C. but the 9°C is for sure wrong because the water temp was 14°C!

Well, just ordered my Opty 180 from Newegg. I could have sworn in the past you could add a note to the purchase a CPU in which most people would put their request for whatever stepping they wanted. I coudln't find this anywhere and even spoke with a support rep and they informed me I couldn't add a note or request to my order at all. Sucks.

I'm REALLY hoping I get an LCB9E or even better, an LCBQE stepping. Hopefully it will scale similar to Biohead's. I'm going to be pissed if I can't run 3Ghz 24/7 like I can on my 4000+.

I doubt they'd have that many you'd have a real choice. The 185 I picked up about 3 weeks ago was a LCB9E if that helps any. It does 3G easy and was able to take a suicide screen at 3.45G. Thats on air. The one comming from the Egg lately seem to be doing pretty good. I'd say you have an excellent chance.

That's good news to hear. I think I'll sleep a bit easier tonight after hearing that.

So, about, 1.28v. Very sweet. Is that still on water? Your temps look like its air. Either way, great chip

No it's not 1.28V The multimeter says 1.261V
And yes, it is still on water. Don't know, why core0 is so hot. This is how it is right now:

Very good, I was just using what the monitoring programs are usually off by. 1.26-1.28v, either one is great for 3G.

I'd say that temp program is wrong, but smartguard says about the same. Regardless great chip and beautiful setup.

    Your chip is quite strange

1.28v (CPUZ) for 3g, and 1.312v for 3.2g. That's nice scaling. And then nothing more? Jeeeez.

I don't know how much the DFI gives wehen CPU-z shows 1.312V. It's 1.35V in BIOS and i think the it has to be ~ 1.346V. Dunno

The 3200 with 1.35V was with 14°C watertemp ... didn't test more, because my girlfriend wanted to watch a movie ^^

But 3300Mhz would have been possible with 1.4V i think ... dunno

Another tests in winter @ -10°C ambient

    Hi all,

I've been reading these pages for a while now so I thought I'd register and give you my input My stepping is CCBBE 0615EPMW.

It will go higher (3.05GHz) but I'm only using an AF64 Pro to cool the CPU so I can't really up the volts & I can't get a better cooler due to my case

I have a question also, why do some of the socket 939 Optys have different TDPs?

It's not an RPAW like Peter Burg's, but we'll see how it clocks, I'm really busy with work right now, but I'll be sure to report back and let you guys know how it does.

Did you just pick this one up from Newegg? My 180 is supposed to be here tomorrow and I'm praying that I get a good stepping.

Not too many other places to get them, at least at a good price. Good luck, hope it goes well, for the both

Right, well some are picking them out from Ebay or second hand sellers, etc.

Thanks guys I'll be sure to add to this thread once it arrives.

I always seem to forget about Ebay. I'm sure its ok and you could get the stepping you want, but always concerned about getting someone elses poor overclocking cpu. The DFI, I picked up seems to be doing ok though
