    G90 = high end (8900/9900 GTS/GTX) [like g80, g70, etc]
    G92 = Midrange (8650/8700/8750/9650/9750)
    G98 = Value (8450/8550/9450/9550)
    i lifted this from another forum - speculative - wot u think?

    perhaps nvidia tests waters / yields with lower cost 65nm parts before releasing uber g90 after kinks/process worked out more
    process shrink always seems to be problematic at first.
