Well, up to that it'd still be a good purchase.
Unless you're more interested in benchmarking than gaming.
A GTX will last ok for 'reasonable' gaming ( 1680x1050 4xAA 16xAF ) for more than a while.
Taking benchmarking out of the question, and speaking as a gamer ( well, at least the gaming part of me ) I can't remember having the same graphics card in my gaming rig for such a 'big' period.
After all, the 8800GTX was a great purchase from all views, truthfully.
Thanks for your advice. Well... The problem is... That in the short run i will buy a Dell 24" Wide TFT running at 1920x1200 and that may hurt the GTX in the coming games..
