I really like the little details you are doing in this build, simply amazing!![]()
This build has me re-thinking my choice of cases...when it first came out I could not imagine how to fill a case that large with gear...but now Ihave some better ideas![]()

Well, keep in mind the pictures are very deceiving as far as size. When I first opened the case, I was surprised how small it was vertically as I had imagined something much larger. It's only 18" high. If it was 6" higher, it would be perfect! (For my application)
What attracted me to it was the area on the right side to add all of the water-cooling goodies. I wanted the reservoirs, pumps, and plumbing on that side and away from the motherboard. I accomplished this, but there is no room for anything else on that side. I was very fortunate that everything fit, especially when cramming in three pumps, three reservoirs, and a big power supply.
The one very good thing about the case is that it is light. And, the fit and finish is very good. This case will last me for years to come.
I am sure you would enjoy it.
20Hx15WX21.5" deep(my measurements here)
Got 2 of them..Excellent cases..Just have a friend on hand when you want to move them:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/c...00/SC850P4.cfm
Enough room in the area behind the front left to mount a 3x120 rad and probably 2 of them one behind the other.

Wait 'till you see my V-Twin. It is the same dual Lian Li case idea the 343 is, but based on the V1000, which gives that extra 6" bottom chamber.
Your build is looking great, even if as you say it's not as big as pics show.
I really like the 343 but think they based it on the wrong model. One size too small imho.

Excellent workCan't wait to see it finished.
I'll be following your progress with interest.
Cascades,
Is your powder coating going to be black?
I'm interested to see how the 534 panels take powder coating with their holes.
Those holes are what's kept me from painting, so far.
Yes, it will be black. I just need to tear it all down and get the case to the powder-coaters.
Im going to second the Silverstone OP/DA series as long as its under 1000w. According the JonnyGuru, the 1000w model is from a different OEM and isnt as good, IIRC. I have an Olympia 650w and it is great.
Almost forgot: Case looks good... 3 loops will be tight. Keep up the good work.![]()
Let's get it going! You probably already know Crysis demo is out on 9/25![]()
Hopefully you're done with your rig by then. One of the main purpose for my rig is for the upcoming games. So far, I've been enjoying Bioshock and MOHA: Airborne demo. Can't wait for Crysis and COD4.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I am waiting for the panels to come in to cover up those ugly 80mm fans and some of the 120mm fans. The air that's being blown through the radiators should be able to cool other things in the case. I was surprised just how much air there was....
And, of course, there is the temptation to wait for the X38 boards
Cheers!

I have decided to wait for an X38 motherboard for this project. So, I am ordering everything but the motherboard. I want to be running an E6850 at about 4.2 GHz with this rig. MS Flight Simulator takes all the processing power you can throw at it.
I should be getting in the sound-proofing material in this week to add. It turns out that the panel the three pumps are attached to is generating a weird, low frequency noise. If I push on the panel in the middle, the noise goes away. So, hopefully the sound-proofing material will attenuate this strange noise.
Cheers!

Go to the following site an click on the first item....
http://www.soundproofing.org/sales/prices.html
It will take you to a second page and scroll down to where you see "Super Soundproofing Foam Mat 1/8" by 48" wide- W/Pressure Sensitive Adhesive peel-off backing (PSA)"
This sound-proofing material should be in by the end of the week and I'll report back my thoughts on it.
You can get much thicker material than the 1/8" I selected from this company.
Cheers!

And quite expensive...but this is the same stuff I use for sound dampening and insulating on Yachts...I actually have a piece of 1/2" I have been using for about a year as a work mat for acrylic routing..
Bookmarked!
BTW I now have the itch to build a three loop system thanks to you...

I have a fair amount invested in a number of little projects. They are all for the business so I have no guilt to bare lol. I really like things in threes though...and three pumps, three reservoirs three colors of dye...mmmmm

In my case, I won't be running SLI because it really doesn't help the frame rates in Flight Simulator. It looks like the X38 boards will probably be out this month, so I won't have too long to wait. I use FS a lot with Vatsim, and am flying all the time. This system is specifically being built for FS.
Waiting for DX10? Ha! I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.
