    OC-team.be cpu pot rev1.0 by troman

    Fatt Jack , ditched the name in favour for the team.

    Quad ready
    Size : 110mm X 80mm
    Price : copper ->60€
    ------>cutting --> 80€ (+-4.5hours)
    ------>mounting --> 10€ (not yet made)

    Unlike Fatt jack 1.0 it's a : Orginal concept.
    The internals are special due a special feature at the bottom that no one has shown to date Unlike others i have no problem with showing my internals .
    Tuesday it's testing day on the Quad and let's hope it wil perform as it looks like.

    Regards

    Troman

    some pics ofcourse

    Looking good

    Are you guys going to mostly be using DI or LN2?

    A little OT, but Im really liking the influx of people making pots lately. It seems just within the last week or two theres been about 5 people making posts about new pots.

    Seems everybody is starting to step their game up

    That's an intersting shape, but I think it'll be a pain in the ass to insulate. Kudos for trying something new though.

    That hexagon is made by milling or with electric discharge machine?

    I like this container since its not just some cylinderical shape made by lathe like almost every container nowadays. Maybe people dont get what things are hard and what are easy to machine? Making smooth shining container is easy (with steppers, some angular shapes and all that basic crap) ... making this particular bottom.. much much harder (or at least more complex if not "hard").

    from troman him self

    Hey guys thx for your comments and kind words.
    As ilkkahy mentioned this design seems easy but it's far from easy.
    I draw something ad pray that the machinist wil say : OK it's easy.
    But lenght is by far the most limiting factor in creating special shpad containers lol.
    That's why probably the evo is a 2 piece design as well, 1 to save materials an cost and 2 to make sure it can be done easy.
    At the bottom i have chosen for a channel instead of drillings.. it's the same but different.
    This container was not made by CNc btw, handmade by a simple milling machine and some other device that works vertical( don't know teh name of it?)
    The hexagon doesn't touch the bottom btw, you can see it as cooling ribbs. ^^

    But as stated, it something new and perhaps it works and perhaps it fails, trial and error...

    and as Vince stated : you get out in what youre willing to put in...

    certainly not my last container lol

    This is what I was getting at. One of the main advantages of the cone style is that it keep the cold farther away from the board.
