If you want to disable it in XP you will have to edit your boot.ini you'll find in root of your systemdrive
It looks like this:
ChangeCode:[boot loader] timeout = 30 default = multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
/noexecute=optin
to
/noexecute= alwaysoff
Now, if you have installed the dual core fix then you will have another switch there that we need to adjust for:
Make sure you'll have the switches in this order.
/noexecute=alwaysoff /usepmtimer
My boot.ini looks like this: (XP and 2003 uses the same switches)
Code:[boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /fastdetect /noexecute=alwaysoff /usepmtimer![]()
