    that's okay, the pins on my Apogee are look alot larger than the GT so that's how I figured it out. I didn't buy it, it was given to me as I upgraded from the Swiftech Storm.
    I'm thinking of getting a D-Tek FuZion as my next waterblock upgrade, FuZion is one sexy block and the GTX is not bad either but I'd rather prefer the FuZion

    As far as I can see, yes. This allows them to mount their Apogee GT with the inport and outport in a vertical line, which the regular mounting plate of the GT will not allow you to do. I'm not 100% sure though, obviously, as it wasn't me that did it and niksub hasn't posted here.
    yes you can change it to a vertical mount, its because the LGA775 mounting is a square shape so you can mount it anyway you want

    right now, I really couldn't be bothered, I'll do it next time I open up my PC
    that will happen when I change out the motherboard and fans on the radiator
