My mems are to run at 5-5-5-12 by the specs, but bios changes them to 5-5-5-18 is this normal or should I change these manually?

My southbridge gets very hot, cant hold my finger on it's heatsink for very long, is this normal?

Which are the optimal settings in bios for functionallity and clocking?
