We have got to stick together

Anyways I have a lot of reviews about Rosewill PSUs, I didn't trust them from the last one I had and I don't trust them even more after some of the reviews I read.
I think I might have to choose a different brand :]

Haha sure, its still in it's infancy though (please note that the color on it now will NOT be the final color and the cutting is no where near done)

Haha I know what you are thinking, but my temps are pretty stable at 34c with 1.55v (according to BIOS) and 3.25GHz
I need to get a new PSU and then I will be getting up to 3.5 I hope.

A word of warning, the 520HX runs very hot -- even at idle and especially under load. It is indeed the hottest component in my system.

Yeah, considering the time of year and being in Florida (and a E6 stepping), seems like Squidmaster might do well to use water cooling and revise the 3.5 goal to 3.2.
    Interesting thread nonetheless.....

Getting a new PSU will help a lot though, as I am running on 1 12v rail at 17a.

In Norway it's called MIST 600W, but where you live it's called Cooltek 600W, it cost me 1000 NOK, that's about 166$ for you, and it's modular, so you would have to calculate in about 80$ more in cables, but goddamnit it's worth it. Where the fan on my last PSU, an Apevia Chameleon 550W gave in when I ran orthos, I mean I could LISTEN TO IT SPEEDING DOWN, this one doesn't even get hickups! Costed me excactly 1515,- NOK including shipping (about 250 $)... here's a link to the norwegian site selling it, but I cannot make it any clearer, it is the same as the Cooltek 600W; http://www.microplex.no/product.aspx...0BHE12CF&mcat=

Try finding the cooltek 500W, it can be found as a regular one, not modular, it is even cheaper than the modular 500W-version... I'm telling you man, you will not regret it! This are high quality PSU's. Under 80$ is to little money to spend on a PSU if you are aiming for 3.5 GHz, trust me

And I might add that the prices here in Norway is a bit higher than in US, so the PSU that costs 166$ might cost 120$ in US for all I know.

This is my 4th PSU for this setup, so trust me, I DO KNOW what it's like to be stuck with a crappy one... or *hrmph* THREE...

So I beg you, PLEASE don't buy crap! The 500W is also very good, but if you are like me running everything but the soundcard overclocked, the 600W is even better

Under $80 for a PSU is fine for a 3.5GHz AMD. They don't use that much power.

Still... under 80$ is CHEAP-ASSED! And can get you from to..... ...
Paying some extra bucks to make sure that you get quality isn't bad!

And AMD requires power to, this is my fourth (4th) PSU! And finally... with a peak power of 44amps everything is stable! And that at only 1.45V!!! So saying that AMD DONT require power is plain and simple crap
