Whats the trick? He brazed the oil output to the service port basically. Thats what we all do with a floated oil sep. Or am I missing something?

It looks to me like he brazed the oil return line into the oil sep outlet line. That's why I was asking for another picture. I know how to hook one of these up NOL.

I think every of us sometimes make mistakes ...and must learn on himself mistakes .

Runmc - like boys said - it's ordinary connection, oil back from Henry straight goes to 2nd stage compressor service port . Only trick is "mod" Henry's flare 1/2' oil back connection to brazed 1/4' . But I'll make picture of that specially for You on friday .

Ah Ron I think your a victim of an optical illusion. In that picture I think he had just brazed in a small peice of peice which he then coupled to a larger one in later time and pictures.

I bet even after 20 years of it's work cables insulation near condensor will be looking just like new . Those hermetic compressors don't produce much vibrations, there aren't rotaries . And insulation on high quality wires are thick and hard to damage .

This is your call Piotres, i have a lot of respect for your work and the neatness of your builds,and what i am about to say involves everyone hear on this forum not just yourself,I am proberbly going to get slated for what i am about to say but as for safety i think that we all try and follow the codes of practice as far as we can when it comes to refrigeration but when it comes to electricity i do not see much care being taken if any at all in this field when it comes to wiring items up, there are electrical regulations which need to be followed and if you sell a unit and someone gets hurt you are liable for that injury and could face a large fine or jail sentence as you will be liable for prosecution if it is found that the wiring was at fault.

It is know good saying well the cables are high Quality so they should be OK as i only used hermetic compressors, what if the worst does happen?

For a few extra $ you could do a job professionally and correctly following the electrical regulations and giving a better job to the customer at the end of the day and safeguarding yourself if anything did go wrong.

But as i said it is your call, i have seen far to many people get hurt badly from electrocution when they thought it would be OK.

Yes, because condensor is splitted for 2 parts, and smaller is desuperheater for 2nd stage .

Ok guys, for everybody calm I'll add one plastic shield for wires near condensor .

nice work there piotres, r507/1150 will go very well in this cascade, this unit is very similar to my personal cascade also using 2x 1/2hp compressors even with a highly clocked QX6700 with 1.85vcore. Maybe get some heaters to help with 24/7 application.

Yes kayl, but that is planned to be working with R507/R23 as I've wrote some posts over . R1150 isn't need, with ethylene, cascade rather will be too cold for owner . For sure first I'll try R507/R410a, maybe later I'll put R507/R1150 just for test (if mine new ethylene portion arrive on time ) . But that's not sure . Finally I plan R507/R23 .
I'm not able to put plastic shield on cables near condensor - it's too little space there, between pipes and condensor .

You could always use some of this mate (Spiral Cable Wrap), it is very cheep and easy to use and will do the job it is intended for.

Some fitting of case .... I must put some alu mesh inside holes for gauge, becasue first that had been planned 1.5 kW condensor,that 1.9 kW is just little too high and there aren't enought space for gauge .



And bitumen insulation inside it .

Today I brazed evaporator for this unit . Bad is I have some exams in school this week, because there isn't much to make to finish it .
