I believe I have the Logisys ones. For some reason they throw off too much light IMO and not enough UV. I also like the small size and convenience of a UV LED array

fbmbirds - Why do you have your pump outlet going into your res? Must've taken you a week to prime/bleed that.

    I am using LED´s from http:www.leds.de

direct Link: Is here to find *click*

But the most important thing you need to know is the nm-value (here 370-375nm)

the lower it is, the better the effect. The higher the value is, more purple light you will get. (Standard is not good - 395-400nm)
I needed at least 8 LED's of the better quality to get that effect.

Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless. Like water. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow, or it can crash.

Here is my build that I created a case/sidedesk for to house it. The desk is just a test build out of plywood (thats why I painted it instead of finishing it)as my skill in woodworking is not up to speed. I will make a new one when I think I am ready to use the good stuff to build it.

I run all the fans at 7v, With the PA 120's setup in a push/pull and the additional 120 for the hard drives I wanted to make sure I had enough to get all the air out. Seems to work just fine with them all set at 7v.

    Thanks NickS!

That's an awesome setup. I love the craftsmanship skills on display. How does wood turn out in terms of dampening the sound in the case? Also do you worry about possible leaks damaging the wood or do you use a sealant?

    Thanks Ranker!

When I had the drawer outside of the case when I was assembling and Leak testing the fans at 7v where noticable. Once I put the drawer into the desk though you can only here the hard drives. I do not have the drawer totally closed off in the desk though. There is still about an inch and a half where the top of the drawer does not meet the desk top. In my next build I plan on making it closer and possibly sealing it shut with a rubber strip or something like that. That should help to keep it even quieter.

In this build I did not worry about protecting the wood against leaks, I did run some primer under the paint although I wouldn't expact it to do too much protection from the water if I get a total loss of fluid. I used Polycrylic on the outside of the desk and will use it all over the next one I build.

    Thanks again!

Yes, that's a nice thing to say about something someone made from scratch.

    IMO it's pretty freakin sweet.

katmando, very nice idea. will wait and see how your new revision would turn out.
advice on painting wood, use a coat of flat enamel, let would absorb, sand it nice then finish with a coat or 2 of quick dry enamel with #1000 light sanding inbetween.

It doubles as a sidedesk Coolrmaster, on the next revision I plan on staining it the same as the desk sitting next to it.

Agreed septim! I did use a flat black to paint but then I have two coats of the Polycrylic over that which shined it up. I also neglected to sand between coats, big mistake there. Thanks for the info.
