That's ridiculously. Is it unfathomable for you to think that maybe, just maybe AMD's CPUs are actually losing to Intel's right now?

Of course it's not unfathomable - I know AMD is losing atm. But the thing is that I'd already been losing trust in Anandtech for quite a while, I've grown to rely on Tech Report above all others.

The problem is that all of the sudden it isn't about performance anymore, it's about price. lol

Huh?What version's are we talking about,X2600XT GDDR4 that is aimed to compete with 8600GTS or X2600XT GDDR3 that is aimed to compete with 8600GT cuz 8600GT cost 125$ and it seems that X2600XT GDDR3 is ~145$
Anyway both cards 8600GTS/X2600XT GDDR4 basically suck and are beaten by the previos generation of cards here is a good example of that bigger performance smaller or the same price...

I think most of us can agree. It has always been about the price/performance ratio.

Makes you wonder about some of these other claims of better performance then what reviews tell you, now doesn't it?

Seriously though, this kind of thing should not be tolerated on this site. Blatantly faking performance numbers, and even trying to get away with it with screen shots hoping no one would notice? Does anyone know who really passed these off as real in the first place?

Dude, you seriously sound like the most broken record ever and your constant 2900 biased bashing is what's really bringing that feeling.

It's not bashing, I'm serious... If someone is passing off fake numbers to other people, which is in turn misleading them(I'd call them out on it regardless of what brand was in his pc), then that is something that should be dealt with.

Are you telling me I'm wrong for calling someone out for doing this?

Lol if there were a survey on "the type of guy/girl you would date" I surely believe ATI fanboy would rank in very high . I mean they are very patient people, waiting 6 months for a product and probably another 6 months for drivers so it can perform on par with another product came out a year ago. In addition they are very forgiving and will believe just about every thing you say (once they idolized you).

ah crap after writing this I realize I don't have a gf yet >_>. Gotta make myself an ATI fan quick.

Or if your a reference 680i owner, you have to be patient and will be able to handle, buying a girl dinner, her leaving before the meal gets to the table, then dating her when she calls 2 months later says, I think it will work now.

Then after 6 months of breaking your , she will blame it on you, and get someone important to agree with her.

and come month 8, her non-identical twin will come by, and give you her number, and you live happily ever after lol.

The old one, even set you two up, and offered you a trade in, but its all good now, cause the twin doesn't break your , but if she does, its still your fault, with improtant people telling you the same thing.

I guess you have some kind of a evidence to show that Anand is an Intel paid pumper? I do agree that Toms is biased when it comes to writing reviews (very obvious from how they word their articles), however you claiming Anand is an Intel paid pumper without any evidence is ignorant. What's your evidence that Anand is paid pumper? Their articles that show Core 2s outperforming K8s by 25%+? Oh wait, every tech sites came up with the same conclusion. I would like to add that Dailytech is not part of Anand so don't confuse them.

Overall, the performance advantage still goes to Intel's Core 2 lineup but there are a few situations where the performance between the two families is close enough to be considered a tie. There are also the outlier cases where the Athlon 64 X2 actually ends up faster than the Core 2
    Anand is soo biased.

I'm just saying that you should pay attention to the way he words things -- especially when Barky launches (as a certain Intel fanboy on [H] calls it). If he judges it impartially, as he used to, I'll take back what I said.

We probably have at least 4 months till that happens though
