Well maybe yes and maybe no....On Quad GT it did about 4120MHz before mobo's death...

Me and gautam were talking about that 01' low clock thread for some time now. I think it would be great and get more people involved with 3d benching. Someone needs to hook that up.

That is a great idea!

I often look at the SP-thread because it is a simple way to compare results.

Hipro: I am glad you live in such a warm country. If not, as it looks on your results you would have said 'game, set and match' by now.

That is some crazy clock on that CPU.

Here is a air result from me. still not much speed on mem yet

1.58v on GPU

No OS optimasions or tweaks yet...more to come

Hahah... hipro but how many degrees is in Greece?

4200Mhz is insane....this cpu is strange, my 6800 at ln2 bench to 5500Mhz but air it does not arrive to 4Ghz

Close to the motherboard I had ~22*C....

@ gandalfone: Yes I know what you want to say M8... We have tow IDENTICAL X6800 L631 CPUs here....One does 5400MHz+ 3D under LN2 and the other does 5050MHz....and when I say idendical, I mean identical......ALL numbers of the FPO/BATCH....TWINS ....

GOOD idea of a low clock chalange in 3Ds..... One at 3600MHz and one at 4000MHz....

Yea for some reason my cpu doesnt like to do 4ghz i can bench at 3.98 on air but at 4.0 it crashes no matter what

yea, My old X6800 wasn't too slow.

This is an old run, so stock clocks on VGA. Slow rams, again this wasn't a tweaked run, just showing stability!

I will make some runs with the Quad soon

I think ~3970 mhz should be possible!

(well same sort of 1M but max 32M is 4150MHz lol and i've been able to do 3DMARK06 at 4GHz with 1.5v but higher wasn't all that good

what's this new mod you have

It's sort off "GTLRef mod" but not exactly.... I'll insulate this mobo coz now it performs WAY better than my first(undieable) one....

The BIG joke is that I - yesterday - tested this CPU under LN2 and it goes up to 5070MHz max..... Dumn....

I was testing an ASUS Striker last night fully unmoded(default ) and uninsulated yet, and my X6800 did ~5340MHz 3D benchable with ONLY 1.86VCore (real).... So I think that if I mod the VCore of it so to get more VCore, I'll be able to bench 5400MHz+ as I do with my trusty ABIT AW9D-MAX mobo....
Problem is that this Striker doesn't let me play at 1:1 and 1T over 432MHz so I'll have to go with the x13 multi and play my rams at ~625MHz Cas 4-3-3-4.... Really bad thing.... Those dumn NVIDIA chipsets are a real pain in the arss...

Yes 1101 ram does work on my card!(I limited myself to 661/1050)
For some reason, the "low clock challange" decided that 4ghz was to hard for everyone to get, here is my attempt with the quad

3954mhz 3d01 with the quad took time time.

Finished air testing this 512mb HD 2900 XT tonight, totally stock card. 100CFM thru a Tuniq @ 18 C room temp. LOD +4

What I wouldn't give for a working ATI Tool or BIOS editor

CPU on Air
HD2900XT stock cooler at 870/998

No real idea what all the tweaks are or even how to tweak so just set LOD at +3 and pressed benchmark on the application.
