I have also seen some older ram not working in my board, like my XMS Pro with LED.
Voltage damper does work, droop is elimintaed.
Restart problem for phase change users still exist on Asus boards.
With stock NB sink my board is topping out at 550FSB

So is the P35 better than 975X? or worth the upgrade/change now, or wait for new boards/chipsets to come out? From some reviews theyve said its 4-5% faster on DDR2, any input?

    Thanks

For quad cores the new chipsets are best, I am going back through DDR2 now.

I can set 1Ghz ram @ 500 FSB and 4-4-4-15 boost enabled, playing with cores and bus speeds now.

Just noticed two cores enabled on above shot, I will fix @ higher clock.

i don't think it's faster than P35 in RAM performance.....maybe a little slower or on par but not faster and certainly not by 5%

Those are Anandtech results, not mine:

SPI results are not that good, but gaming tests are.
