Guys, got big prob...
My P5k DLX works fine except one thiny thing...
My mems wont go higher than 1060.
Got two pairs of sticks: Gskill Hz 6400 & Crucial AE.
No mather witch bios/div/Vmem/Vmch/timing/etc i`ll use, always gets that same - freez(setFSB)/no boot(bios).
Any idea ?
BoinC freak
anyone knows if asus gonna have bios that support 1:1? can't boot on my 533 rams
why you say it doesn't have 1:1?

ok found the "bug"
any fsb below 295 it will not show 1:1. thats why all 533 stick can't boot. If using native 333fsb cpu I believe should have no problem.
If you have access to another motherboard, reprogram the spd on your 533 sticks to support 667. Then they'll boot fine.

i have to test this but from initial findings the new chipset is certainly not faster in any way..........if anything it is a little slower BUT BUT BUT BUT i have to tweak theout of the bios first before i can say that comfortably
Wesley is a great reviewer and i respect his opinion. I do think that the review is a little misleading because of the settings used and they are spelt out by the reviewer clearly, however, people are freaking lazy and they see the damn graphs like the guy in this threadand post it as evidence
that's the problem here
but once again i would trust Anandtech's reviews more than any other site as long as the testing methodology is sound![]()

I really enoy their reviews and technical articles. Yet sometimes their results are different than any other site
They made some interesting new tests with the kingston low latency dd3 memory which sounds methodically correct to me.
Keep in mind that SPI tests basically dont show differences.

I know gravedigger said he was gonna post his results a couple of posts back but can anyone confirm if Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Desktop Memory works for the P5K. Just jumped on the deal since it was $85 after MIR at buy.com
Crucial doesn't show it as one of there 40 compatible memory upgrades for either of these ASUS P5K motherboards:

ASUS P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP Motherboard

If there 2GB DDR2-1067 kit does then why wouldn't there 2GB DDR2-800 kit work?
