With good reason, when you think about quad cores, and the octo cores. How is intel gonna be able to keep up with hyper transport and an intergrated memory controller. A fsb can only go so far.

Now on the gpu front they have added lots of cool features. Even though its not a gtx, its not like nvidia hasn't been in the less performance boat on top end cards before.

The gtx was a huge jump from previous generations. Ex. 9800 pro vs FX 5700
