Talking ATTN: All Silverstone TJ07 owners

Anyone who has a TJ07, could you please post pics of how you setup your PC and your watercooling please

I'm building a new PC and would just like to get ideas. I've seen a few on the forums and especially masaville's. It just looks wicked!

So yeah, your pics would help me alot

    Cheers fellas

wow, nice, didn't know you could turn the MB tray upside down

just wondering, would a CM Stacker cage fit in the bottom PSU area with a BIX3 and a MCR220 radiators?

Thermochill pa120.3 in the base :-

GT rad in the roof, slightly changed from this pic, now the fans are on top and the rad is bottom. its a real tight fit.

It takes a bit of modding but the mobo tray can be flipped so you have an inverted ATX style case.

The bottom would hold both those rads ( Masa showed us that) but you wouldn't have room for a hd cage. It gets very crowded down there with 2 rads.

    Completely agree. Crowded....heh.

If I had to do it all over again I would probaby go with a single 480, which does a pretty good job of cooling an E6700 and two 8800 GTXs. Doing so allows you to put you pump/res down below or fasten a res like the EK to the motherboard tray. You have a lot of options with one rad and it keeps your drive bays free. I don't need more than two HD and one external USB drive so drive space wasn't an issue for me as much as it might be for others.

If you have a quad core and SLi or are into overclocking heavily it's not such a bad idea to go with two loops. If you select the right pumps you can fit two of them in the bottom of the bays and go with two EK150 reservoirs leaving plenty of free bays. Ideally, pumps with barbs that point in a single direction, like the MCP355 (http://www.petrastechshop.com/ladd1mcin12p.html), will help free up a lot of space if you put them in the bays. You can stack those pumps and the tubing won't interfere with bays as it did in my case.

Does anyone know if the 355 vs the 655 would make a temp difference? About 454 lph versus 1200. I don't have any personal experience with any pumps other than the 655s.

Can't complain about having two rads though. Keeps the system nice and cool and you can overclock like mad without crazy ceiling temps.

Looking forward to seeing your project post. =)

I plan on integrating a 360 and a 240 in the bottom, atm i only have a single 240 which is cooling my E6600. I'm not happy with the temps of my graphics and motherboard so I will be putting those on water as soon as I have finalised the equipment I want to get, my drives are kept in the 5 1/4" bays so I have the whole bottom of the case free

why do you guys always flip the mobo anyway? shorter routing of tubes or what?

The inverted mobo just seemed to make more sense to me. Especially for my build. It made my loop very small and tidy. But if you think about it there seems to be plenty of advantages to inverted. You move your cpu to the bottom of your case where it's cooler. The gpu seems to be able to more naturally exhaust it's heat. Also, looking at my loop, if I was to spring a leak at my cpu it wouldn't leak onto anything crucial. Plenty of reasons to invert.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Very nice TJ07s all of you

I'm thinking of putting a dual 120mm rad up in the roof and a triple 360 rad in the bottom.

I've got 4 Raptors and its kinda a challenge. I want to avoid cutting anything in the case.

System I will be building is:

    QX6700
    EVGA 680i
    2x 8800GTX
    4x Raptors

    Cooling system will be:
    BIX3
    MCR220
    Laing DDC with petras
    Laing D5
    2x EK 150 res
EK NF 680i chipset WB set

I'm wanting to fit a CM stacker cage in the bottom area so I can have the top drive bays free.

Got two EK MultiRes 150's and will be setting up dual loops

I think Masa showed that his GTX480 had better temps than the PA if he kept everything on one loop. I think his system pushes the PA to it's limits.

maybe if the TJ07 had top and bottom PSU mounts, he'd probably stick 2 480s down there and PSU on top...

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a FAQ/post somewhere which describes how to invert the MB on the TJ07?

    Thanks.

It's pretty easy. If you have the case you can actually see where the screw holes are on the other side of the case for the rail that the mobo tray slides on. This rail is one of the only things in this entire case that is riveted in. Drill those rivets out and then you move the rail to the other side. The mobo tray isn't exactly symmetrical, so when you flip it over you actually have to raise the tray up 1/2" or so. You do that by raising that rail up a bit. Pretty easy stuff. A drill and some nuts and bolts are all you need.
