It's all in the GTL/Ref and BSEL settings. The problem is if you are off by 1 value, the board will lock, every CPU is just a little different, three Quads here, all three require different settings.

The system shuts down, as if power plug was pulled. Is that what you mean when you say the board will lock? I just want to make sure something else isnt wrong.
