After e-mailing DFI inquiring about this motherboard I was referred to motherboardpro.com by them. I talked to an employee at motherboardpro.com earlier. He told me that they are receiving about 40 units on Thursday (5/3/07) and that they would ship out on Friday (5/4/07). I did place a pre-order with them as I do not have time to watch newegg all week, studying for finals week. So for anyone that can't get one from the newegg batch, motherboardpro.com will them them also.
Sorry, I'm not an employee. Anyways, I was just informing you guys.

Nice, you all getting one? Thats great, sure is nice to look at.
count me in also> Been waiting! Someone buy 2 boards and keep one for me!
I'm gonna pass on this shipment and wait for the one in 2 weeks. Frank Wong has guaranteed me a board in that one. So I ordered the e6600 this week from the Egg (arriving today) and will try to figure out which video card to get next week. I really look forward to the feedback on this board. Plus I'm way too much of a noob to tackle this one without you to guide me through it![]()

I was targetting this board but with the arrival of P35 chipset I will aim for Asus P5K. Newer chipset is pretty much faster and will ship tomorrow. I will not wait for an out of date chipset, even if brough by DFI.
DFI is loosing the run on the boards market (which I am very sad with).

DFI referred my phone number to motherboardpro dot com as well and an employee called me. While he may be an employee, I spoke with him and he was polite and will have these boards in stock. $315.99 is a little out of my price range. The 965-S is going for $159.99 if anyone wants to pay $10 over what ewiz was selling them for.
As you all know, I'm not an employee there.

I am like an alcoholic, but with motherboards.
Wow. I guessed $329, I'm closest, so I Win!
Who's gonna send me one of these boards since I won?

I agree for many.. But for me, my 3rd PCI-E video card is blockin the air intake on my upper 8800GTX and it now runs 12-15c hotter than the lower 8800. The DFI has a little different PCI/PCI-E configuration which would put the 3rd video card at the very bottom leaving plenty of breathing room for the 88's. also the 2 extra SATA ports are BIG for me. I really do not expect the DFI to perform "better" than the EVGA, I just hope its as good. In my opinion, the EVGA pwns every other 680i out right now. I haven't owned all the other 680i's while they had their most mature bios, but i have owned them all. I went back to the EVGA every time. SOoo, If you do not need the extra 2 SATA ports, and the PCI/PCI-E layout is ok for you, then i would also recommend the EVGA. A1 or T1 of course.
