(see sig)
This L707 is from Fry's, pack date 4/17/07.
Well, it seems to be happily burning away at Orthos Small FFTs after 22.5 hours without complaint, 415x8=3320. Voltage sure needs to be high for it to be stable, though. Anything less than 1.5V in BIOS causes Orthos to fail after a few hours or random reboots. This L707 is not a good clocker.
I've booted into Windows at 3.51 and run a Super PI 32M but Orthos fails after just 6 seconds. At 3.40, Orthos works for about 3 minutes and then fails, even after I push the Vcore all the way to 1.525V in BIOS. I really am at a loss what to do. All the mobo voltage settings are maxed, memory at 5-5-5-15-4-30-10-10-10-10 and this memory is more than qualified to do the job.
If I drop multi to 7 instead of 8 and try to boot with 475x7=3320 it won't even POST. This is probably because my NBCC at that multi is (9/7)x475=611mhz. Even with NB Vcore maxed at 1.65V it will not POST. This makes me sad.
Perhaps someone could make a suggestion as to what I could do better to get better OC?
