trans am i read it now that you say +250.0mv = 1.55v???

    in my dfi +200.0mv = 1.40v >>> 1.39v Idle >> 1.37v Full

    +250.0mv = 1.45v
    +300.0mv = 1.50v

    and so on

    regards

    whoa really? I thought it was 1.3 default +250mv = 1.550
whats going on here? Are you saying my board is overvolting by .11v?

Download coretemp and look at your VID.
This is the vCore the motherboard is using by default. Every cpu does not have the same VID...

    +0.200mv = 1.40v

    but i have another friend that have a E6600 and +0.200mv = 1.50v

    ???
Every E6600 does not have same VID.
Last one has 1.325V VID + 0.200mv = 1.525V which is making 1.50V in bios or windows. (i don't know where you are looking at)
    Other ones have 1.2250v or 1.2375v+ 0.200mv= 1.4250v or 1.4375 which is making 1.4v.

    my friend E6420 VID = 1.3500v

and i think he also have +0.200mv = 1.40v (not sure i ask him later)

    Btw my E6600 VID = 1.2375v

    and i dont have 1.2375v+ 0.200mv= 1.4250v

    If i set +0.200mv = 1.39v in Bios & Idle windows and 1.37v Full
    If i set +0.187mv = 1.37v in Bios & Idle Windows and 1.344 Full

i ask my friends later to check their Bios voltages and Coretemp VID

    regards

    serious, even at 400FSB
    stop right after POST
Try clockgen boot into window at low FSB, hang at around 380FSB
I have two pair of rams,
    Here is my research:

    RAM: Xtreeme 1000C5 1GX2 D9GMH
    At 500fsb, 1:1, running fine with NB=1.60V, SB=1.7V, Vtt=1.28V
At 400fsb, 4:5, Stop right after POST no matter what voltages are
    At 400fsb, 1:1, NB=1.36V, SB=1.5V, Vtt=1.28V

    RAM: Xtreeme 667C3 1GX2 D9GMH
    AT At 500fsb 1:1, running fine with NB=1.45V, SB=1.7V, Vtt=1.28V
    At 400fsb, 4:5, much better,
    NB=1.45V, SB=1.7V, Vtt=1.28V stop after seeing 2nd screen
NB=1.55V, SB=1.7V, Vtt=1.28V BSOD right after loading window
    NB=1.65V, SB=1.7V, Vtt=1.28V 9s last for Ortho Blend test
    At 400fsb, 1:1, NB=1.36V, SB=1.5V, Vtt=1.28V

    seems it is compatibility problem

I remember the same issue with my P5W DH. Only my high binned G. Skill HZ's or a couple of 1GB kits of corsairs (8000UL's & 5400C4's) would run the 4:5 divider. My other G. Skill HZ's & Crucial 10th Anniversary's would boot.

My rams can do 480FSB 4:5 on commando (not stable)
    440 4:5 on QuadGT
    460 4:5 on P5B-D V1.04, my older version, V1.03 also suck even at 400FSB (401FSB is ok )
400 is also on P5W DH, not try higher coz I sold it already
now, 400fsb is not stable, it is BIOS problem, I think

I don't think its a problem with your ram, I think as you do, a compatablity issue. My G. Skill & Crucial both do over DDR2-1000 on other boards 1:1, 4:5, or 2:3. But on the P5W no joy. Picky ram clocking is why I stopped using it in my gamer/bencher. Since the DFI 965-S is suppose to be my new bencher, replacing the RD600 this could be a problem when it comes to testing ram modules.

I'm using the Corsair 620w. Hit 500FSB pretty easily. Can probably go higher, but don't have the time to mess with it till next weekend.

Infinity P965-S stable settings at 400 FSB, 4:5 divider. Most setting were left on Auto. I set processor speed and primary memory timings to match what you listed in your other thread. NB Strap was set at 266.
