plastic barbs are pita to put hose on manually. usual soak in hot water then slip on plastic barbs. or buy metal G3/8 barbs...

the dremel part, more cutting disks in reserved if ever you're goin modding holes. else simple drill with slow setting and appropriate drill bits should suffice.
