Well I was thinking about 2x7600gt on first PCIE and 2x7600gt on other 2 PCIE port. Will there be better performance with 2x7600 and 2x7600gt than just 2x7600gt?
And can I ran 2x7600gt and 2x7900gt? for example

You will need to see if anybody has every got it to work. THeoretically according to Nvidia and ASUS it is possible.. however im not sure if any users have tried it themselves

Yes, probably Q6600 will outperform it. So what, it's not like I am on a contest.
Besides, I don't get a chance to build dual cpu systems that often. The last dual cpu system I built was S940 dual opty.
Now that i finally finished reading all these pages 2 months later .... and wanting to contribute instead of "stealing a thread as I did earlier".. I want to help keep the thread alive since I now have had my dual FX system for a couple months.
I've seen a couple post from Intel owners.... some good some "competitive", I'm like alacasa.."I use both brands" ..and I appreciate those whom do!
Yes it's easy to overclock the comparative Intel's to run as fast..and in most cases "much" faster. Sad part for Intel's...you have lost your cpu warranty by overclocking it...in 3 yrs...I will be glad to burn mine up with abnormal settings..by then..I wiil most likely be upgrading my personal pc again anyhow.
This AMD/Asus combo...doesn't need to be overclocked. I've used the built in "overclocking profiles"... http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=173936 but like I said..it does'nt need OC'ing. If I wanted to push my speed higher..yes..water cooling will be needed, but then we fall back on them "damn"..3 lil MB fans... are in the way...but they are designed to spread the heat to help cool the MB!
I want to elaborate on the heat..power usage ect..that I"ve seen mentioned here and elsewhere...We have absolutely no choice on motherboards for the FX-70's... there is only 1! It was basically designed to stay together at factory settings. Even them damn lil 3 extra MB fans, serve a major part in keeping the board to run at a minimum temp..which is all Asus could do for them!
On the other hand...since I'm running Vista, and using the "Smart Fan"...my 2 FX-74's and this MB are able to automatically change frequencies... I can idle at 1000Mhz@1.10vlt.... or launch apps/games ect and it pumps itself up to 3000Mhz@1.40vlts. Even sleep mode is workging properly (thx to nVidia"s lastest drivers)...you would think it's off...even the tower lights... but wiggle the mouse...walah..."Resuming windows".

As I mentioned earlier..I thank those whom can go either way. (No..I'm not gay)
It was "ONLY" the cost of replacing a Single QX.. compared to the cost of replacing a single FX...and i can still use my pc with 1 cpu...

    Closing Thoughts:
All the Intel owners should bump me of this list...But remember...I'm at factory speeds. Look at the 3 "OC'ed" above me.(subject to changes)

Looking at your 3dmark 06 CPU score. My setup at 3ghz beats your 3ghz :P

    Me: 3690
    You: 3559

Not that it means alot .. probably from some XP optimization that Vista doesnt have yet

Yup.... maybe 3dmark07 will come out soon.
There are way to many NA's in the Vista scores.
    Cooperative Adapters=No......hmmm

I'm interested in seeing how the dual CPU market gets when the barcelonas come out.

Hopefully there'll be better motherboards and more variety then.

    2-3 mobos would be ideal.

8 cores with NUMA in vista > any intel product for the next 1+ year.

Ya I pretty much agree that the 4x4 is a nice setup . I do believe however that in its present form its not a good investment in hardware.Intel q core is much wiser buy. But when K10 shows up with its new 4x4 amd chipset it will be a very good system I am sure. I will stay with Intel . But If skulltrail wasn't coming out I would be very tempted to buy amd 4x4 k10's.

This is a really good thread and the thread starters system is pretty interesting. Looks good also.

It just amazes me tho how people can get hit with a brick without knowing what hit them.

Off-topic= We all heard Intel penryn willbe here in 07 and we know that Intel is talking about FSB of 400. On server parts or are they? FBdimms running @ 1600 not likely until after nehalem is here.

So what parts are getting cpufsb 400 ddr3 1600? Think skulltrail.

Many guys here are saying what good is 4x4 or skulltrail when few apps support it.

Well this is XS and those will be XS. Not only that when the benchmarks start taking advantage o multi threads . World records will be in the hands of the guys with 4x4 and skulltrail.

Many here are saying DDR3 is a waste of money and time . It will be a year before we see useful DDR3 . Again I call BS.

    http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2996

Thats lower latencies now and it will come way faster than people been saying. I tried to find another article that AT did about what Corsair will be showing off at the show this coming week . Couldn't find or they removed it . Either way the article said Corsair will be showing off DDR3 1600 and DDR3 2000 at the show well soon see. Thats soon to be not a year from now.

Ya I am all for 8 cores right now! Either way these AMD(K10) and Intel dual socket systems will kill the 4core systems. I know or at least I think I do that the Penryn's will kill the present king of zap. dual socket or single socket. K10 is the only true unknown here. As for Intels FSB I think FSB-400 and DDR3-1600 or 2000 will kick ass. exspecially if skulltrail is dual independent FSB with the new snoop filter.

The thing thats really unknown tho is Intel promise of much better virul. 25-40% and much better 64bit performance I think they will deliver on both.

All I can say for fact is the guys that Own 4x4 (K10) and Skulltrail (penryn ) will be the guys with the big scores and the long dongs. Who wins doesn't matter since only about .01% of all users will own these 2 setups for about 1 1/2 years. Thats a long time!!!

Still awaiting someone to solve the problem of making this problem Octo core with the new Opty's and use unregistered DDr ram at the same time.

I'm still stunned and fel extremely shafted that AMD dropped support for the platform, I mean, they could have done a small run of some modified Quad core Opteron's for the people who paid a fortune for the privelege of owning this sytem, and to dump it like a bad smell was pretty lame from AMD, and why I won't be buying any of their product's in the near future again. The whole reason for this sytem was a stop gap between them geting their Quad's out, annd making the whole thing Octo core, with at least trile SLi, using Two High end card's and the vapourware SLI announcemet that was the third GFX card for physic's.

Absolute nonsense they dropped support for an enthusiast platform considering they are meant to be the enthusiast company, Intel just uns rings around them now, and at least Skulltrail will support everything, including SLI.
