There is no sticker for Striker Extreme? Thats a striker not a P5N32-SLI 680i, the P5N32 would say just that on the board.....

    This is the P5N32-SLI-E

What you have is a Striker Extreme

Not to mention its not a sticker, because all the Caps on your board are mainly red, and not black like the other? what gives lol

    No stickers involved XD

deepsilver, if you stick an 80mm fan in those empty expansion slots you can really drop your GPU temps. like this:

Dropped mine by about 10 degrees C I ditched the funky green fan, too loud. Now I have a NMB fan there that is totally silent (they only made these for a short while, extremely quiet, only pulls 0.06 amps).

    Just an idea

is that pulling air into the case or extracting? also, wouldnt the bars make it kind of loud?

Set up as exhaust. That fan was loud but just because the thing spun at almost 3000RPM. The one I put in there now is much much quieter, the bars aren't a problem really.

My guess is that its the ASUS P5N-32-SLI PLUS. Meaning its not a 680i, its the frankenstein board that uses the 570 southbridge with the 650i northbridge. Its suppose to be a good board still. costs roughly 220, and uses the striker extreme PCB. If you remove the sticker that tells the model name on the motherboard it shows STRIKER EXTREME, just like Brians motherboard shows.

Yes, I left the heatsinks attached to the MOSFET banks, but cut the pipe and then closed it flush again so it looks normal.

Cooling parts i used were the

    Thermalright VR-1 VGA cooler
    Thermalright HR-05 chipset cooler
    Enzotech ULTRA-X CPU cooler

that enzotech is NICE, ive never seen such a high quality product before, and im seeing an over 10-15c drop in temps from all the stock cooling!
